Understandable choice by Brogdon going to a team that was just in the Finals

Raptors taking another free agency L. tough

  2. JoJonesy

he doesn’t exactly fit Nick Nurse’s love of 6’8″ wings

  3. I wonder who the raptors were wiling to part with

    > At the end of the day, we knew there was Boston, we knew Toronto we knew DC,” Brogdon said of his trade options. “DC fell off after the draft since they were thinking about trading that 10th pick for me. Toronto and Boston popped up. We had a choice to pursue — there wasn’t an offer on the table yet from either of them but the Pacers came to me and said we could pursue either of them and which one would I rather pursue? I choose Boston.

the only way we could have matched his contract would have been OG or Trent. We were never doing that.

Gary or OG would’ve had to have gone out in the trade. So probably Gary, Raptors had him in a Porzingis offer last year as well (Per Zach Lowe and Tim MacMahon), and almost certainly more.

Also understandable in that the Raptors suck

Lmao Brogdon cannot help himself from throwing “incindental” shade at teams.

TL;DR The idea of celebrating thanksgiving in October was just too difficult to get past

Brodgon was right, Boston is just farther along than Toronto with where Tatum & Brown are at. Also Boston just went to the finals, while Toronto is in rebuild kind of stage not to say we are not a good team with some good talented players. It just Raptors are not at a championship contenders stage yet. And landing Brogdon wasnt going to put us there

Wish he had chosen Toronto. Potential for a better pick.

Toronto just can’t compete with the weather in Boston

Understandable. Would’ve been nice to have him but Boston was just in the Finals and are further along in their development.

I can’t see Brogdon as a Masai target. Interesting the way he words things here too. I wonder if the conversation would have been Brogdon and Turner for a big swing

You can either go to a team that was one year removed from the lottery and then lost in the first round, or join a team that just made the finals.

I know which team I’m picking.

Hopefully this is the timeline where Brogdon plays >60 games and is healthy for the playoffs. Would be dope
