I’m not dooming after preseason but we might need to sell high on PP. Just doesn’t make sense on our roster. We need a big man. And Grant is not worth 16 million Brad is definitely right on this one lol

Fun preseason game interesting that IT TOOK SOME ABSOLUTELY REMARKABLE LEVELS OF BULLSHIT FOR US TO LOSE THIS GAME.
That’s probably the only way many teams will stay with us this year.
Grant did some good things, but it really bothered me the way he failed to find open shooters when attacking the hoop. One early time where he missed smart in the corner (and he got blocked) seemed to break our entire flow.
We are going to be an absolute pleasure to watch when all our guys are in.
It is going to be an amazing year.

The Cs are gonna have to do a much better job on the glass if they wanna weather the early regular season without Rob. It was also very noticeable how much worse the offense looked without Brogdon to help push the pace and really get the rest of the team into more of a passing mindset.
That’s a particularly tough matchup for the Celtics but without some ref fuckery, they probably win in regulation. And the regulars dominated the first matchup. C’s showed a lot of their old bad habits but Raptors also hit a lot of circus shots. Sometimes that’s just how it goes in the NBA. Bring on the real ones and make a statement in the opener.
No Timelord and no Brogdan for a second half. Raptors without Pascal Siakam, Gary Trent Jr, and Boucher.
Back and forth scrap of a game. I look forward to when these teams face each other at full power!

This loss was entirely on that ejection of Tatum and White fouling out, I don’t think Tatum deserved either of those techs.
That being said, we need to do way better at crashing the defensive glass, no excuse for 22 OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS.
Looking at the preseason as a whole, decent showing from the Cs. Like the second half of last year, when they were cooking they looked like the best team in the NBA.
It wasn’t all great tho. There were some problem areas that likely don’t get fixed until Rob returns. Also the deep rotation guys (e.g. Hauser) are probably going to be maddeningly inconsistent until they mature.
But the biggest snd most important takeaway from the preseason is that not once, literally not for a second, did I feel Ime’s absence. That seems important.

Raps played a bit harder always going to be tough to beat. The Jays looked good. Hauser back to earth but I liked his D and passing. Grant is gonna sign an offer sheet imo too much risk of fumbling the bag.
