John Wall has December 10th circled on his NBA schedule for the Wizards – “Hopefully I’ll get that big standing ovation…My ultimate goal was trying to bring a championship there. Everything I gave to that city, from playing through my injuries, giving back to the community.”

DC will give him his respect. Seen a ton of people saying they already have their tickets and will be wearing their Wall jerseys to the game.
Should hopefully get a video before the game too.

  2. DC loves and misses John Wall. I’ll be there wearing his jersey and cheering loud as hell

That is poetic. He stayed loyal for a long time, unfortunately injuries took away his prime way too soon. Should get a nice ovation. Cant think about DC without thinking of John Wall.

Wall in DC was terrifying. Mad respect for him, hope he gets what he deserves!

If he doesn’t get it I am done with seeing games in DC. I never have before, but I wouldn’t after either.

John wall isn’t my favorite player stylistically, but he’s the player who carried the entire franchise I love on his back for years. He cares for dc – real dc – and gave us everything.

He had his flaws (trying on defense, jacking long twos, making gang signs on court), but none of those take away from the fact that he loves our team and gave everything to it.

John will get his ovation, his jersey hanging, and hopefully any job he wants from our organization. Without him, I don’t know if we’d have any fans left.

Those Wizards teams were some of my favorites. Still makes me sad that they never saw the success I wished for them.

I respect John Wall for being open about the struggles he had in the last few years. With how things were in limbo for him, I understand why he’d be upset. Glad he is in better spirits.
