  1. Idk if I completely agree with this take. Is AD playing hurt? Absolutely! Is he playing injured? Probably not! The Lakers and AD aren’t stupid to have him play injured this early in the season! But as long as he is able to control his pain with a certain amount of threshold, it’s good to expect that he will play hurt for a better part of the season and he taking back to backs off will be good to ease that pain!

  2. Ham has said there’s no fear of anything getting worse, it’s more so pain tolerance. Also, let’s remember this started during that clippers game fall which wasn’t too far back. So long as he keeps playing, I don’t see a reason to think there’s long term concern or anything

Damned if he plays, damned if he sits out.
This man can’t win with critics. Stay up AD! We’re with you.

*Edit: Us true Laker fans are with you

  4. If it was a real issue, he wouldn’t be out there 90% of the time moving well, averaging 20 and 10.

  5. Random NBA exec says things needs to stop being article worthy

Oh why? Because he screamed AGHHHH after a double jump putback and ran back on D doubled over like he was a cartoon character?

In Europe, when soccer players are like thisinjury prone, they risk their health but play without pain injecting them painkillers. I don’t know if that’s legal in the NBA

AD a media days a couple of weeks ago: “I feel great, this is the best I felt in years”

    *Literally three games later*

“I’m battling injuries and limping down the court”

I will always appreciate AD for bringing us a title but we need to plan on AD being a part-time player for the remainder of his career. The guy literally can’t play a week’s worth of games without getting injured

Lower back issues suck, especially for ball, and they don’t just go away if there’s an structural issues with the spine itself. Some of you might remember Sam Cassell with wires sticking out of his shorts to alleviate spasms during a MIN run in the 00s. It might be worse for Davis because he has to bang so much in the paint.

These anonymous NBA executives should shut the fuck up

    Dude TRADE THE PICKS

This is showing future stars that we wont leverage the future for a ring, which has shown to work for us time and time again in the past

We are like the only franchise that can manufacture our own future without picks

We are the fucking 17x champion Lakers this aint no “ohh I won all my titles in the 60s” dumbass Celtics
