  1. Refs were str8 ass. Turnovers aren’t helping either.

  2. nimbly118

Well apparently even at home we end up traveling more. I’ll see myself out.

  3. I liked that we fought back and Keon stepped up, just sucks that we couldn’t finish the comeback

  4. ripcitybandwagon

Unforced turnovers and bad refs. And sprinkle in suspect 3pt defense.

  5. PoppaTarts

Welp. I think we win that game with Dame. Good fight to claw back but just too many missed lay ins in the first half.

  6. aznthomastran

Refs + TOs + 3 point shooting lost us this game but we were still in it without Dame. We good

  7. Frognuts777

If dame was available we win this game easily

  8. orangerhymeswithwins

What I got from this game is with Dame and less egregiously one sided refs we would absolutely beat Memphis in a 7 game series.

  9. uplifting1311

Now we know our young guys can compete, for it being the very beginning of the season, bad refs, Memphis at the top of their game and us not at ours, I’m thinking we’ll be Ok!

  10. Damezang

Fuck those refs. Hope Nurk is good. Keon looking great

  11. lanesraa

I guess you can stiff arm guys like Derrick Henry

  12. Bieberkinz

Glad we got to the comeback but couldn’t take the lead. Appreciate the hustle, but not the turnovers and sloppy play throughout

  13. X_SkeletonCandy

This team has got to figure out how to limit turnovers. It’s killing us every game.

  14. Fuck Zach Zarba, and we HAVE TO clean up the turnovers

  15. lunes_azul

Good to see such a tight game. We did not play well tonight.

  16. seeminglypee

Honestly can’t be too mad, this is the most fun blazers team to watch in years.

  17. OG_Kazaam

didn’t think we played great, shots didn’t fall, we still were in the game up until the last two possessions; it gives me confidence for the long season ahead…

  18. Great job making it close, and through some questionable calls. But ultimately we didn’t keep our composure when we needed to. Shot ourselves in the foot one too many times.

  19. IGotTwoWordsForYa

This was a good loss, it showed that the boys can go without Dame against a legit playoff/contender team.

  20. Alternative-Minute76

We got to clean up a lot of these turnovers, I don’t understand why we get stuck so much off of drives with no one to pass the ball out to

  21. cyborgbear

i guess if you dunk a lot and get popular on twitter you magically get better calls huh

not to mention brooks and his signature ‘foul on every play because they can’t possibly call all of them’ shit that he’s been doing for years

    yes i’m mad

  22. uplifting1311

I’m so used to terry stots that when billups makes adjustments on the court I automatically think someone is injured when they aren’t playing in their allotted minute time lol

  23. TheDSpot

overall an ugly game against a good team, but the fact the blazers stayed in it and it was a close game by the end while missing Dame, GP2 and playing against the Refs shows hte potential this team has once the missing players return.

TO continue to be the biggest issue on offense. Defensively they lapsed into periods of subpar defense.

  24. ripcitybandwagon

The 9-0 run by Memphis to start the quarter pretty much sealed the deal

  25. bigheartblueballs

Keon stepped up today, but I would’ve preferred having Winslow in in the crunch. Keon was in the game for too long. I understand the nod to him by Chauncey but the last 3 game minutes he was 0/2 on 3s and a turnover. Also let Ja get the Hart turnover when we were down 3.

  26. joesenseii

I turned off the game when we were down like 17 in the 4th, turned the game back on and we were magically tied after a huge run that I missed. Then we lost. So I’m not saying it’s directly my fault, but I think I had some contribution there. Fuck.

  27. Things that are the refs fault:

    * 20 turnovers
    * Poor shooting most of the game
    * Desmond Bane becomes Curry
    * Dame out

Goddamn these refs won’t let us have a chance!!!!! :((((

  28. Everything fell apart after sign guy blocked the camera

  29. keegan0891

Positives: We clawed our way back from that very fast 4 to 15ish point lead at the beginning of the second half. Even just a week ago the Heat punched us in the mouth, and we took it but at least this time we didn’t give up. Keon looked confident and took an opportunity given to him and did a great job.

    Shout out Drew Eubanks!

That dunk with 2.3 seconds left saved my Blazers +6.5 bet I made at half time lol

  31. loudstain

Bad: Stinker from Hart. Grant needs to learn his lesson on travels. Refs sucked. Simons needs to be more aggressive. Our turnovers are absolutely disgusting. We missed approx. 2000 layups.

Good: Simons inherited some clutch from Dame. Keon looked really good and his improvement is insane minus the double dribble. Effort from everyone looked great. Nurk spacing the floor was a blast, wish we kept feeding him inside.

Sharpe had a very rookie performance, but at least looked comfortable out there. We need Billups to draw plays for him, he often times is just sitting at the arc.

That was a fun one in the fourth. Glad we could stay competitive.

  32. SexDefender27

That random-ass josh hart foul was so dissapointing

  33. This was tough because it was winnable. But we’re without our leader, so you can’t really expect to take that home. Great to see the squad fight back to make it close.

This next week is going to be TOUGH, we could very easily be 5-5 soon. Any games we can win will be huge. Anfernee looks like the real deal, boys.

  34. blappiep

amazing comeback. maybe a turnover or two less and this one could have been ours.

  35. Thin_Cantaloupe1680

The Memphis mfs are bragging about how good they are. Completely blind to the ref dick riding

  36. BlazingSaint

Was at the game. Can’t believe the officiating.

  37. HeGotTheShotOff

Man hate being the same guy saying it but really don’t see how Gary helps us. Need more 3s and creation, the d is fine.

  38. realBahubali

Downvote me more. Jenkins is a good coach. He figured out how to get his guys open 3s with some screeny, tricky shit. Other teams are gonna’ make this a blueprint to go after the blazers. Chauncey’s gotta counter it. I thought GPJ would be redundant but smarter basketball minds than myself made this roster. In Cronin I
trust. Baby sharpe looked lost as fuck. Nurkic has always been better than you think. We probably would have played better with our perennial MVP candidate. GG Griz. They’re a fun team.

  39. terrordactylz

This game was lost at the start of the 4th. Down 6 to down 15 in just over a minute. Credit to the team for clawing their way back, though.

  40. gerrard_1987

Don’t know what it looked like for people watching at home, but from the stadium, it seemed like the refs had a hard-on for Portland. I’m not trying to excuse all of our missed shots, but all those travel fouls seemed like a significant factor.

Kind of a dud for Sharpe, although I thought they took him out too early in the first, right after his only basket. It was nice to see Keon get some shine.
