As a long time Russ fan, won't lie I was ready to give up on him. I'm glad he swallowed his pride and did what he had to do for the better of the team and himself. Took him getting beat up in the media, but hey we here now and I can't wait for Russ to raise up that 6th man trophy.

Russ is not the problem with the Lakers, the problem is they have 2 good shooters and that’s it (Ryan and Walker) trade away Schroeder and Nunn and get shooters and they’ll be significantly better

We look a little better but Ingram was not playing, and we almost lost.I’m just hoping we can get value outta Russ with him coming off the bench. Trade Russ and a 2nd for Irving, and then flip Beverly and another guy with a 1st for Turner. We need a big that’s not soft like AD, and we can start attacking the paint
He has been fantastic for the Lakers coming off the bench, it is a perfect role for him and allows him to be the primary distributor. If he keeps playing like this (minus the 6 TOs) the Lakers might have the option to keep him and play the season out and and allow his contract to expire and either re-sign him to a cheaper deal and/or use the opened up cap space to build back depth. If he elevates his play, they might even be able to trade him and get assets in return if a team decides to do that. So far so good for Russ off the bench
