The reason I’m posting this here is because it brought up a great question, how do fans of other teams feel about players such as Kyrie who could realistically become Free Agents for nonsport-related reasons? Philly went through something similar with Michael Vick back in 2009, but before people start trying to compare “wrongdoings”, let’s keep it simple and controversy-free by just putting them under a “light” umbrella.
Obviously, if a player were to say literally commit murder and go to prison for life, then they’re literally out. But for something like this, where the waters in muddy in both terms of the legal implications, or the public pressure facing ones, where do fans feel like they need to draw the line?

Ray Rice basically got blackballed after the footage came out, Ray Lewis basically killed a man, and you even got players like Tony Robinson who played during the 1987 NFL player’s strike who was in jail for cocaine distribution and after the season, returned to Tennessee to complete his sentence.
Would a team even pick up Kyrie if he were to get cut? The public pressure from the Jewish community alone would be bad, but you get all the reasonable fans to support the pressure, that’s a huge percentage. I mean I guess maybe Toronto because the fans there are all classless pieces of shit but idk if they would even stoop that low.

Ben deserves Kyrie
Vick and Rice committed some pretty awful crimes.
Kyrie might not be directly hurting people, but he’s been spreading these wild conspiracies for years. There’s a pattern. And the deeper you go into these Alex Jones theories, they end up going into in the antisemitic hate mongering route. These antisemitic theories have been around for centuries. Given how Qanon has taken root in this country, we don’t need a celebrity adding fuel to the fire. That’s why Kyrie is dangerous.
Wild how dudes just don’t understand they’re employed by a company and aren’t free to just post whatever they want and expect to remain in their position. Talk about being disconnected from fuckin reality.
At least they still have Simmons
Vick seems to get a pass from Philly fans which I just don’t get. I’ll never understand how other eagles fans could cheer for him. I feel the same way about Kyrie. It goes beyond sports. If Joel spewed some BS like that or was fighting dogs, I’d drop him tomorrow

No. We’ve long passed the point where his off the court antics outweigh his on the court performance.
