I could use KD for me league team, some guys can’t make it next week.

  2. LOLCultOfMaloner

Wow. Can’t believe the Nets GM would openly admit this in public

  3. Purples_A_Fruit

That sounds good in theory but they’re going to be selling from the ultimate position of weakness, and will have to accept pennies on the dollar on every deal.

  4. Honestly, I think they’ll still try and make it work, especially with the new coach. They said the same thing during the summer of how it’s all over and nothing’s really changed besides the value of the players have gone down.

We all know this is the end result, its just a matter of when the Nets decide its time to not ignore that reality.

Nets viability was over before the season started. Now two of these guys have no trade value.

I mean the only issue is Ben/Kyrie are at their lowest value points ever.

Kyrie pretty much only has 1 out and thats to LAL. No one else will touch him. Ben may have more interest, but not enough to warrant getting great value back.

KD is going to have to net them a massive amount of assets if traded in the offseason or later on, because the 2nd/3rd stars have almost no value on the trade market.

There’s 0 point in trading Simmons. Trade KD + Kyrie to the Jazz where their views are probably okay.

Imagining a Siakam KD duo gets me tingly

this team could’ve had the lakers two first round picks hahahahahaha

Whoever acquires Ben Simmons would have to pay him $40 million in 2024/25. Who would want that?

I can’t believe people thought after the tumultuous year/whole summer of drama they’d run it back with Ben, Royce, and Joe Harris back and be fine lmao

Doesn’t matter who coaches Udoka, Snyder, he’ll bring in Phil Jackson and Red Auerbach. This is a broken team. That besides the huge wholes in the roster is also extremely toxic. KD will request another trade if their slide continues.

    Nets give up – KD

Rockets give up – Nets swaps and picks, salary filler players

Team 3 gives up – Bluechip player, good player + picks

Nets get – Their swaps and picks back to tank, salary filler from Rockets

Rockets get – Bluechip player, good player + picks

    Team 3 gets – KD

Nets can tank. Rockets accelerate their rebuild. Team 3 is a title contender.

Finding something enticing enough to move the Rockets off the Nets picks/swaps is the obvious issue here. Maybe the Rockets are only giving back the next 2 or 3 years of picks/swaps?

Lol it was over when they gave away Jarrett Allen for nothing

  15. The Nets to me are going to try and go forward with two options here.

Either try and get this season right with someone like Ime as the coach hope Kyrie comes back and move forward and hope that a legitimately good roster can work it out.

Or, trade Kyrie for whatever they can, and potentially even Simmons if he doesn’t begin playing to his caliber. And, attempt to convince KD that they are going to fire up this summer with FAs by acquiring short term money in these deals to get cap space.

I personally think they are going route 1 cause realistically it makes the most sense.

You can’t really rebuild when Houston and Philly own everything

  17. superskinnytrees

They’ve buried themselves. They held on to the idea that it could be salvaged and now it’s too late. Durant is the only one with any value. And they’ll be operating from a position of weakness. Who would touch Kyrie now? LA is the only team remotely desperate enough. But even they have to see the nightmare that would come. The Nets will be set back for years. And they deserve it. Sorry for the fans. Some of them at least.

  18. shaheedmalik

Trade Seth Curry back to the Mavs then.

  19. SimmonsReqNDA4Sex

Remember when everyone said that those picks the rockets got we’re going to be worthless anyway?

  20. gustriandos

No team is going to tear it down when they have as many outgoing picks as the nets do.

  21. Grampz619

must really suck to be a season ticket holder in brooklyn right now

  22. BeneficialJunket3933

Irving is off the books next season. Udoka might be a temporary hire. KD is locked up for four years and just wants to hoop.

Ben Simmons is really the only problem because nobody wants him as he is currently. However, if he builds his value then the Nets can actually do something with his contract. If the Nets pull the trigger with Udoka, it might literally be for him to be tough on Simmons. Once Kyrie is out of the picture, Udoka’s agency as the coach should go unchallenged.

  23. paddiction

Nets fans begging D’Angelo to return as we speak

  24. KingMonaco

Damn thought I saw Seam Marks for a sec lol

  25. Literally everyone on the nets roster is at their lowest value everywhere besides KD. They aren’t gonna sell shit. I don’t blame them for it either. There’s an opportunity in a month or two to start playing some good basketball, see returns from some guys, then think about selling off.

  26. noknownothing

Durant coming to Lakers for Pippin’s kid, a second round pick, and whatever loose change Jeannie has in her purse.

  27. jerry0892

Just a reminder that Bobby marks was apart of the worst front offices in nba history.
