I think we’re a backup center away

Not so much as our Defence has been Horrendous so far.
Adjustments made and i can see DNVR making a run back to the WCF this year
They'll be fine, just need more time to gel with all the pieces, many guys didn't play on this team last year so they're learning how to play in this system with newer parts. Also they haven't had this many shooters, or easy cuts before, and it's throwing them off with a multitude of options early in the season.
Some guys take the Boogie approach of not playing much until after Thanksgiving then starting to workout for teams that could be contenders, and the buyout market could also be a decent place to grab a backup 5 later this year if DJ stops being a serviceable backup 5. I do agree with Adam though that it would be nice to grab a backup 3, but personally I think Watson comes back from the Gold at some point and shines. Kid is a stud on defense, and he has enough support around him from really good players(with Andre Miller as his coach) that he should pickup more to his game and not be a liability on offense. I don't see him being a huge piece, but him and Braun could both be in the rotation by the end of the season and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.
It's nice to have Murray back, he is much more the motivate by calling you out kind of leader, and it's way different than Jokic even when he's enraged at someone for missing a pass. Murray will win an MVP in the next few years, he's so driven and focused, and seems to be all about improving his game and holding himself and others accountable on and off the court(MacKinnon type). That's something we've lacked the past couple years, another player who can turn it on when Jokic is having an off night or isn't 100%, but who can raise the level of the team around him when they need it too. Bubble Murray wasn't a blip, it's just the beginning of that man's prime and I can't wait to watch it unfold in a Nuggets uniform for years to come next to Jokic.
One question still remains. Who is the second most horseman on the Denver Nuggets?
