Kinda funny how both sides of the Russ coin can argue vindication. The fans because he’s proving that he can be a valuable contributor, the haters because he’s proving that he’d maximize his value by accepting a bench role.

  2. wembanyama_

Legit time to ask if he’s a better player than LeBron RIGHT NOW

LeBron looks awful and Russ looks elite

  3. DynamixRo

Get this man some help, his prime as a bench player is being wasted.

  4. NAACP_YoungBoy

I’ve seen enough! As an honest basketball fan I speak for everyone when I say the Lakers should trade LeBron + AD and rebuild this team around Westbrook and Austin Reaves.

  5. WhenItsHalfPastFive

He’s playing much better off the bench. He should have had the ball more in the 4th imo, but the few times he had it, he didn’t do much with it and turned it over a couple times.

  6. Imkitoto

He snuck into LeBrons house and stole his ability to play basketball

  7. ROPisagoodseries

We all owe u/MITWestbrook an apology

  8. 1slinkydink1

How many picks can the Lakers get for Russ?

  9. IF YOU CAN’T HANDLE HIM AT HIS WORSTBROOK YOU DON’T DESERVE HIM AT HIS BESTBROOK

  10. Objective-Molasses85

You’re late. this is already a post

  11. WinterCareful8525

The three are a poor fit and the supporting cast lacks the right combination of defense and shooting for them to thrive together. That’s the real reason they should’ve traded Russ a long time ago.

  12. soycameron

It’s getting to a point where if they do trade him and he gets bought out, he may have his pick of the bunch of contenders to sign with and come off the bench for.

  13. As a Celtics fan I feel like I win either way with Russ

  14. suprememontana

Benchbrook is the move. This is what they need

  15. FinallyReborn

Did they revoke 2 of his free throws? Why?

  16. AestheticPenguinMan

And he was their best 3 point shooter. 60%

  17. brendangilesCA

Maybe the solution is to start Russ and bench those other bums!

  18. black-rhombus

Yeah, now the starting offense sucks. They can’t put Russ everywhere!

  19. phinphan896

Hell yeah. Love to see Westbrook getting his flowers. Saw guy break down a clip online of him bricking a shot then the guy showed the two plays earlier where Westbrook tipped missed shots for two second chances before bricking a three as AD and lebron were just watching the lakers’ misses with no intent to rebound

  20. ephemeralfugitive

Let’s start Russ and have Bron + AD lead the bench 5Head

  21. darth_butcher

He is playing unbelievable… maybe they should start him… 😇

  22. panda_gravy

If Russ maintains this level of play and buys into the role next year, imagine getting him at half or less of his current contract. I can’t believe I’m saying it, but he could legit be a championship piece.

Wouldn’t blame him if he takes the money and goes to some mediocre team though.

  23. DanteMustDie666

I kept saying he is a best Laker this year . Getting extended

  24. Sad_Inevitable8242

I think it’s time to consider to bench lebron and AD and let start Westbrook with the bench 😂😂😂

  25. robinThicc9

I’m happy for Russ. I’ve been very critical of his failure to adapt recently but it’s awesome to see him look happy and contribute. Maybe Benchbrook can play a few more years.

  26. yusbishyus

I am a Russ fan through and through and even I’m surprised by how well this has worked out. Wow! All his bench games have been really productive.

  27. sync-centre

Why not bench LeBron and AD. Fool proof plan.

  28. ObiOneKenobae

Wearing my Russ jersey with pride, great to see him proving that he was the same guy as always in a godawful on-court fit. Ham has made a far better effort toward making them work on the floor together, but end of the day he and lebron are too similar to thrive together.

  29. I swear NBA fans have the worst memory. Russ starts out slow ever year, and then plays a month or two at damn near an MVP level. Then he will get injured and slow down, but still be pretty good. This has literally been happening every year since his year in Houston

  30. DowntownJulieBrown1

Crazy how Russ playing well gets so much less attention than Russ slander

  31. illogicalhawk

Great for him that he seems to be finding his groove. I don’t know that it means much else; I certainly wouldn’t move him back to the starting lineup.

  32. AD played like a passive bitch usual. losing 50/50 balls to Olynik is just tough to watch. not demanding the ball when he came back in the 4th. JFC since they won 1 ring hes been cruising and just going with the flow.
