AJ & OO were great, that goes without saying, and AJ better consistently get 20ish minutes going forward.
But I am so excited about Jalen Johnson. Very few players possess his size, athleticism, Playmaking & rebounding. And now it seems like he’s a decent defender. That’s a recipe for a really good starter & key player on a championship team tbh

Those were two of the best quarters I’ve seen from this team this season
Let’s goooooo! Best moment tonight was the Holidays dishing up AJ with the water bottles 😂😂 dang I love AJG, I know he’s gonna be one of my favorite players on the team going forward. May have to get his jersey. This team is special. We just win against the only undefeated team in the league without our best player and blew them out. There was not one player I can think of who didn’t play well tonight.

Also whats even crazier is that it wasn’t a Bucks off night either. We took an insane shooting night by them early on the chin and came out swinging in the second half.

Excellent win for the team, but the real question I need answered is what candy won Trae’s bracket?
All the doomer takes on this sub after that loss to Charlotte (although I agree it was ugly) now feel like a century ago. It’s so easy to have knee-jerk reactions to ugly losses but we said since we got Dejounte that the new squad would take a few games to gel together.
Let this be a lesson to Hawks fans (myself included) to keep a level head even when we have ugly games. It’s an 82-game season and we are inevitably going to have nights where basically everything goes wrong.
AJ Griffin is kind of a big deal… when given a chance to shine he scores 24 points against the 9-0 Bucks! Play him more!

Things besides the AJ Griffin ROTY campaign kickoff:
* JJ is actually a really good passer and he showed it several times tonight
* OO touch around the rim is ridiculously nice, he’s gonna be like Capela but with layups
* Aaron Holiday 2nd game in a row looking like a real valuable role player
* DJM steals and transition offense is infecting the whole team.
Side note: Vince gotta come on more. I love Bob and Nique but I have to admit, sometimes they’re not the best. They get a little tiring to listen to, idk if I’m alone in that or not. Really enjoyed Vince tonight

Something about AJ Griffin reminded me of someone who could ultimately be an all time great NBA legend. Hard to put into words but I wouldn’t be surprised if in 20 years if he’s not in conservations about the all time greats. Obviously hard to tell now but he is very talented.
