If you’ve watched every game you’ll notice he hasn’t been that impressive. You expect 2nd year players to make a big leap but he hasn’t shown any glimpses of that. Seems like he’s been carrying injuries. Hope he turns it around
If we’re expecting him to be a building block and future star then we gotta judge him with those expectations: he’s been disappointing to start the season.
1.9 free throw attempts per game and 6.6 rebounds per game for a 6’8 player that can outmuscle 95% of players in this league should never happen. He’s settling for way too many jumpers and playing way too passively. That’s not even getting into his defense and the amount of times he lets players walk right by him on the perimeter
Need more from him. Other than bully his way to the rim and having a little hot streak shoting 3s, he need to add more scoring skills to his bag

He hasn’t been using his strengths to his advantage.. not what you wanna see
But I will say, the fact that he wants to add pull ups, and 3s to his game is encouraging. At least we don’t have a Ben Simmons.
When he learns how to master everything he’ll be unguardable. Will be able to shoot, find his own shot, dominate in the post. Can make any pass if he’s not in the right position
Super disappointing. He’s just not attacking at all this season and settling for jumpers. Someone on the coaching staff or front office has to sit him down and have a talk with him. Dude is wasting his potential.
His offensive rebounding and rim presence has fallen off. He’s clearly bothered by that ankle
Watch the kid ball out later this season and those who are criticizing him now will be singing his praises.
Growth, in any profession, is not linear.
Been eating too much Bowlway
last few games tanked his averages, can’t say “at least hes efficient” anymore, perhaps some time off for that ankle, and role change back to his pf position when he was leading rookies in put backs and offensive rebounds could do him good
Should we shut him down for a few weeks to recover? With Siakam out, we hope to go .500 and then make a run when hes back. Why not load manage Scottie
He’s injured, not 100% healthy like you can see it when he plays. I think he has to rest one or two games. When he’s fully healthy I think he is going to be much much better than what he is rn.
It doesn’t help he’s been playing injured and was injured before training camp aswell. NN has gotta figure out a way to reduce the minutes for the starting 5 so they don’t burn out. Sometimes less is more.
nice
Numbers dont matter right now. He hasnt played like it but he definitely looks better than last year handle is better and the shot is looking cleaner. Looks way more fluid shooting off the dribble too. Defense was looking better before the injury. Once he gets healthy he’ll be good
