Giannis is clearly the best I think Steph is at best the 3rd best player and Luka carries a fairly bad team than what Steph is doing carrying the warriors who are championship qaulity team who can win a game in the NBA finals when steph has an off night. They obviously need to make a trade though.. Do not get me wrong Steph has been fantastic this year a Top 5 player but I am not sure he is better than Durant who has also been really good and not got results and has worse team than Steph.. I probably have Giannis number 1 and his overall team id argue is not as good as Stephs.. I would have Luka 2 who has a average team he just brings em along.. then this is where it gets tough KD or Steph I think you can argue either for third and fourth.. And curry has been a top 5 player for many years now.. The player I have given up hope on is Kawhi who honestly at 100% I slot right up at number 2 but he has not been healthy in so long now he does not even warrant a top 10 slot at the moment let alone top 5 or 2..

I 100% agree with your take on the GSW strategy. The organization is trying to get the best out of both world and build a team that is barely good enough to win now but still have a whole bunch of young talent waiting in line. But the reality is that most likely it will become barely not good enough to win now wasting your golden generation and at the same time keeping a bunch of good but not great players that will not be able to hold up the torch once Steph is done

The problem with trading the young guys is that they don't have contracts large enough to bring back assets worthy of their talent which would mean including Jordan Poole or Andrew Wiggins. I doubt the Warriors would be willing to do so unless it is for an all-star-level talent.

1. First off I hate people talking about Gary Payton being traded. He’s been out all year injured.
2. Let’s see what donte divincenzo does when he gets healthy. He was killing in preseason.
I trust the warriors to make solid decisions. So I say just let it ride.
The solution would be to put Curry and Poole on the floor at the same time along with Wiggins, and Klay. When Poole and Curry are together, they crush the other team's morale because the Dubs score so many points. It also tires the other team's players from having to chase them.
I know for a while, Curry was called a liability on defence and that was harsh and lazy… But a 'great' defensive player? I think that's going too much the other way.
He's a good defender, he has good instincts and good hands and he can be a defensive play maker from time to time but let's not go crazy here.
Klay has been bad on both ends and as much everyone loves Klay I think he is the root cause of the lack of on court chemistry. He is so far from his prime at this point through not fault of his own but he can't see it and it would seem no one on the team or in the locker room has the heart or balls to tell him. He simply can't be playing so many minutes so poorly if the team wants to succeed at the highest levels. He needs to simplify his game on both ends, stick to guarding bigger wings and bigs as much as possible and really working to improve his team defense which has never been a strong suit. Offensively he needs to stop chucking and taking stupidly difficult contested shots.
Poole even though he hasn't started the year very well should probably be taking a bunch of Klay's shots. It's been pretty clear for a while that he's a volume scorer and needs to get a rhythm to get going. He too would benefit from doing less, he's so quick he doesn't need to bust out 3 moves to beat someone when 1 will do the job just fine.
You forgot to mention the 2004 Pistons – Rip, Chauncy, Big Ben, Sheed, etc. Against a Laker team that was STACKED.
How about AD for DAME… KD & JOE HARRIS + 1 more for AD & RUSS… or Warriors trade for Lebron next year when he’s available
I think we need to remember that the rotations for the warriors are almost completely different from last season. They are giving a whole raft of young players more responsibility and that was always going to take time. Your also trying to integrate Jamychal and Donte into a brand new system they haven't played in. I think saying there's almost no chance they'll figure it out when there is still so long to go in the season is a complete overreaction! They are still figuring things out behind the starting 5, and they'll get there.
You said wiseman has a chance of being a better version of Ayton? Man I love this guy and his show but he says things every once in a while where I’m like, “Wait what did he just say?” I’ll cut him some slack I like this dude he provides a lot of value for his audience. It’s just obvious his audience is a ton of warriors fans that he panders to which is how you grow a channel so respect but it’s annoying lol
I'm sure GS would flip somebody for a stronger bench worthy if such came available according to their assessment. However, I think "the bottom line" is the bottom line, i.e. not just a title this season but also full capacity at home games for the foreseeable future. This translates to assured playoff appearances but less certain title contention. They don't have to win it all every year for that, and I think they are considering this second timeline player development project as a means to that extension of max revenue. As long as Curry's healthy, they're gonna be full house, and they're hoping to build, develop, and not get rid of the wrong guys between now and their superstar's retirement. tldr: they don't wanna make the move you mention unless it all but assures that title immediately, because if it doesn't, they might have cost the second timeline without benefiting the first.

While i think things are in fact escalating and its getting increasingly difficult for the Warriors, I also think there's a little too much fear in Jason's analysis. The Warriors' brass didnt think "its ok that GP2 is gone, we have Moody", they went into the market and got Divincenzo. He is not nearly the same defensive player that GP2 is, but he offers his own abilities to the team, and right now he is not playing. The plan was not to throw the young group into the fray expecting them to thrive already, but to get decent players to be a gap between now and the future.
The expectations wasnt for them to be completely ready, but for them to be more ready than they were last year, and to compensate with the new veteran guys for what they lost from last season.

The Warrior Defense is absolutely atrocious right now. They need to shore it up and stop the turnovers. It is bad to be top 3 in offense and lose as many games as they have. GPII is missed. They allowed 8 wide open 3s and at least 5 layups with no Defense. Cut that in half and this game isn’t close. Cut 34 points given up to 17 and this is a blowout.
Thing is with PG13 is I think he's closer to 6'10" that 6'8". Just look at him on the court, he looks consistently like one of the biggest guys out there.

I agree on the warrior view of using the window..however a few things: 1.) Di Vicenzo is missing and JGreen is just not any good so far. 2.) Poole has had a rough start 3.) JK needs to play. Quite frankly Wiseman is not ready and at this point of the situation JK is a better fit and further developed. 4.) Yes, they need to add one more wing…personally i think they should not have by any means let go of GP2. To me that was the most shocking and detrimental move. I would easily have given a couple of the young guys for him. He is on his prime and was one of their most important pieces. Drey in the back and GP2 on the perimeter…they never had such defense of talent in the 1-4/5 axis. There is still time, but JP and JK need to step it up the way they can.
