If Kerr is willing to hurt some feelings this year outside of the young guys, I see some beautiful combinations can be ran for both units. Too much hierarchical BS on this team hidden in plain sight. The same mistakes Klay or to a lesser extent Dray makes gets excused, but let a young guy do it he gets yanked out the game or will earn DNP’s for the next few games. If we put our trust in two of our young guns like Moody or Wiseman to run with the starters we get an extra surge of energy to go with our already steady vets. There definitely will be more mistakes but with Dray leading the defense it will be still be decent but most importantly team camaraderie will improve.
Now imagine a bench with Poole DDV Klay JK Looney. That sounds like a hell of a bench lineup probably better than a few starting lineups in the league. Kerr needs to treat this team like its the final dance and all the young guys and vets need to sacrifice all across the board. Who cares how much you make or what you did in 2016, play for your teammates and put the best effort out on the floor. If Curry wasn’t having this MVP start fans would have been picking on the imperfections of Klay and Dray much more than they have been IMO(Klay’s worse than Dray btw)
