Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney Off the Bench? Moses Moody and James Wiseman Starting? w/Kevin Danna

Kevin Danna, the voice of the Santa Cruz Warriors (and sometimes Golden State Warriors), joins Cyrus Saatsaz to praise the early season performance of Stephen Curry while discussing the start of the G League season and what changes the Warriors should make to right the ship in the team’s pursuit of a Repeat World Championship.

  1. The warriors didn’t trade anybody what are you talking about they couldn’t match the contracts those guys got from other teams that’s it if you know the team like you say you do you should know that

  2. l like Curry, Wiggs, Dray, Wise, Klay. Then bench DiVincenzo running pg, Poole, Iggy ( spot minutes when healthy ) Moody and Loon. Then mix in J Green and Kuminga for Iggy and Moody for matchups.

  3. You can keep the starting 5 the same, but it's clear that you need either Draymond or Kevon on the court at all times. Both can anchor the defense, and both are key to setting picks and handoffs for Steph, Klay, Wiggs and JP. They could try to sub in either JK or Wise early for Kevon and then bring Kevon back to play with the 2nd unit.

  4. I will say this: we will never have a situation where the Warriors are in the playoffs, and they get beaten in the playoffs. It’s going to be feast or famine with them. Either they are going to miss it or get beat in the playing, or they will be in the playoffs, and find a way to win, either through extreme luck, like the other teams, getting injured or Steph Curry having a monster performance.

  5. One point to consider, when you win it is easier to find more minutes for your young guys and bench. Last year we were winning early so the bench and young guys played more early on. If we would not have been winning early last year those guys may not have played as much early on. The young guys will play when we start winning and that is how it has to be. Winning determines everything!

  6. Cyrus I know your heart is in the right place but Klay is not coming off bench…..however, I could see Klay and Looney sit early in 1st quarter bringing in Wiseman and Moody, then when bench takes over you include Klay and Looney with the reserves in the 2nd quarter when starters rest usually. There are ways to keep a mixture on the floor at all times and when it gets to winning time you go with the best five for that particular game.

  7. Starting line up C-wiseman SG poole (these 2 need to stick together, their chemistry is essential and is building) Pf Draymond, SF- wiggins PG- Curry. 6th man Klay second rotation C-looney PF-kuminag SF-Moody SG Klay PG (stagger Stef and poole) Dechezino

  8. we could have kept GP2 for the price of devenchenzo and Ja Michael combined contract. stupidest move….. The warriors were in the minus when GP@ was off the floor in the finals. Warriors need to shake up and stagger the rotations or trade for durant.

  9. Yes. Some needs to play alot more and explain more in detail what there role is ,try out different roster.

  10. Steve Kerr trashed the value of Kuminga and Wiseman. Justified or not, he did. Forget about getting any trade value from either Kuminga or Wiseman.

Kerr's inability to develop players is well-documented. He chewed through numerous young prospects.

All the current Warriors' stars were developed by Mark Jackson. Kerr wouldn't have been as patient and his erratic in-out of games might've killed Klay's potential. Also, Kerr certainly would not have tolerated Curry's lack of defense.
