Fuck you cock muncher
We still suck.
Definitely concerned about Paolo personally. He’s doing NOTHING on the glass, is slower, is inefficient, and just overall looks different. Not to mention the free throw issues.
Was nice to see Fultz again wasn’t perfect but started to settle in. Again disappointed with the lack of any rebounding and the crappy defensive effort I love bol but dude has never heard of boxing out he’d clean up so many rebounds if he’d just do that
when we were gaining momentum they subbed fultz out and that was all she wrote
All the length in the world is on this team, but NONE of them put their fucking hands UP
You can tell this team took WCJ for granted. The rebounding, defense, and offensive organization just isn’t the same without him. He continues to be the most underrated player in the NBA imo
No exaggeration that might’ve been one of the worst Magic games I’ve ever seen
Shot 49.37% from the field and lost by double digits.
Hawks had 15 more attempts. Team doesn’t play defense, and they don’t grab rebounds.
The tank keeps rolling
Just hoping for a good showing next game. Today’s looking like they just ate thanksgiving food yesterday.
Was hyped for Kelle so I wish the game wasn’t a blowout. This’ll take time to settle, and we’re also waiting for Carter and JI to come back and settle as well. We’re a hard team to brew with these injuries. Not to mention, coaching has to adjust to this and the lineup needs some smart balancing with each injury and with each comeback.
Are all of these loses demoralizing Paolo? He’s looked dejected ever since he came back from his injury. 😭
Team gets blown out when Wendelle doesn’t play. Dude deserves more respect
They need to have a players only meeting or something, it seems all the losing is affecting the moral of the team. And I hate to say it but I don’t see the veterans on this team doing something like that.
Fultz playing only 16 minutes sucked, you could start to see the game changing glimpses and just like that Mos said whoa looks like you were trying to get us back into the game come take a seat next to me
Once again, players need to take onus for playing with energy, intensity, having the will/instinct to rebound and boxing out. These things are taught at the middle school level and drilled into them. Coaches should not have to tell a guy to play with energy. Someone tried to debate me earlier saying that coaches are responsible for energy and that’s the lamest thing I’ve ever heard. A coach should just straight up bench a player if he can’t self motivate himself to play a game after being motivated the game before.
Another game, another injury. It’s impossible to get any sort of semblance of structure or consistency with so many moving parts, minute restrictions, G-League guys getting massive minutes.. it’s tough.
Our games looked better earlier in the year and we competed and we were close because we had most of our good defenders healthy(ish). It looks bad now because everybody available isn’t a great defender.. besides Harris and Franz at times, and Houstan who is still a rookie.
We will look more competitive once again when Suggs, WCJ, Okeke, and hopefully Isaac are back to compete defensively. Otherwise, we just don’t have the shooting even on a good day to stay in most games unless the Franz/Paolo spam can’t be stopped.
WCJ is the most important player on this team IMO.
His ability on the glass and as a defender is what this team needs.
He’s not flashy, but it’s no coincidence we’re getting blown out of games now that he’s went down with injury.
He belongs in the untouchable tier with Paolo and Franz.
Paolos cooked
Yo, they ain’t gonna be good next year either.
Man, injuries or not—Mosley is not getting this team “up” enough to play.
You can’t come out that flat at home. No effort on defense. No effort to rebound. Offense is a mess.
I’m fully content on getting a top 5 pick but good grief—we can still be competitive and lose.
This was pathetic from start to finish.
This is what happens when you have a roster of 10+ young guys and try to develop them all at once, you have games with no effort, no direction, we are missing simple aspects of basic roster construction, once WCJ goes down we rely on two slow footed 7’0+ guys to defend the pick and roll and grab rebounds. Just out hustled and didn’t box out and ball watched. Would be great to have a proper backup big.
Need WCJ back but the rebounding was pitiful. Caleb is the only guy that understands how to box out from the looks of it, everyone else just ball watches as an ATL player gets into position. How can you have 2 rebounds at 6’10?
I need Franz to start taking more dirk mid range shots because I feel like that’ll get him going as far as shooting the ball. I also wanted to see Franz and Fultz have more playing time than they did because Franz was cutting but wasn’t seeing passes thrown his way. Bol at the 5 only happens because of injuries and should never happen again. Overall this was a disappointing game and I am slowly accepting no chance at a play in game.
We need to trade assets for an established star. If our pick isn’t one or two, there needs to be serious talks about packaging both picks in a trade deal for someone serious. Preferably a scoring guard.
Way to many comment here about WCJ being missed. Yeah, he’s good and a valuable player—but there’s no excuse for the pathetic lack of effort on defense and on the glass.
We aren’t giving our guys any help on offense it’s just “go out there and watch Paolo/Franz”. Our guys are too young to have this offensive load. We need to at least come up with some semblance of an offensive gameplan before Paolo becomes another inefficient chucker. Give them some help coach.
Our defense is terrible but I don’t need to go over that again. Same theme we’ve seen all season. It’s more than an effort thing (even though that is equally poor).
At least Fultz is back and looks healthy. Excited to watch more of him
We’re not a very good basketball team right now. That was embarrassing
Next 10: Cleveland, Toronto, Milwaukee, Clippers, Toronto (x2), Atlanta, Boston (x2), Atlanta
Happy to see Markelle suit up again, wish JI would come back not even for his stellar play but just because JI was one of my favorite players to wear a Magic jersey.
This game once again proves the importance of Mo Bamba, the guy is the best and most reliable Center on this team. He is a true center, he isnt a forward/guard pretending to be a center, Mo is a top 3/D big in the league and is a true interior gamechanger. When Mo plays more than 20 mins the games are generally close, without Mo playing the extending minutes most games were blowouts, or depressing losses. Its clear that Mo is needed and not on the bench with the tankers who are only there to fill space since injuries. Everybody wants to point to Dell as the main reason for this team dip in interior protection but I think its a bit different, I honestly think Bol is just a terrible box out players and allows too many second chances, and his lapses are completely a big whole in this teams defensive schemes which make this team look so terrible on defense. Bol is great dont get me wrong, I finally see that Bol potential is just as high as Mo’s, Bol honestly can be the franchise player but his lows are real down low lows, and that can be contributed to his lack of minutes in college/ NBA but it doesnt change that Bol has flaws and lapses. Mo had some his first year also and then was benched and replaced, Bol is lucky this team is on the trend to develop and Bol’s high are impressively high since Bol is allowed complete freedom. Mo was never given that freedom not from Cliff and not from this coach (should be fired). I truly truly think Mo would ball out more if he was allowed like Bol to just make mistakes but nah if Mo has one terrible game he gets a DNP or limited minutes in favor of a tanker like Admiral/KH while Bol can have multiple gamechanging mistakes that is embraced.
Yall dont even realize that MO and Bol are the same age, Mo isnt like some old player given chance after chance, Mo was benched way more than played while Mo has had higher highs than Bol in longer and more durable bursts. Mo is needed, a real playmaker with Mo can make this team right back on track. I truly think Bol if not on the bench should at least get limited a bit and let Mo/Franz/Paolo be the top offensive options, Bol/Dell should be the filler options and Bol can be the perfect glue player like Franz that does all the little things.
Lot of isoball with no ball movement
