They’re in the business of selling tickets, merch and tv rights. Let’s not get this confused folks…

The Celtics had a duty to protect the female employees on the staff and they did the letter of their ability. They made no public statements or inferences to what happened all they did was announce the suspension at the direction of a third party law office. You can say a lot about Boston and the Celtics but they handled this perfectly. She seems to be blaming the wrong people in this.

In what world is it an employers responsibility to check on the wives of their employees who are disciplined for do something wrong…

  4. Possibly one of the most absurd things I’ve ever heard. These people need to learn what actual hardship is.

Cool story. Nia Long is a movie star who doesn’t work for the Celtics. Last I checked it wasn’t spousal abuse, it was an affair. Her husband cheated on her with subordinate(s), they deserve the Celtics attention, not her.

Nia Long is gonna be just fine.

  6. ericsharpmusic

If you’re in the business of virtue signaling…like come on the Celtics aren’t affiliated with Nia Long in any way, shape or form. Enjoy the clicks tho queen

  7. asjfueflof

I never realized Nia was employed by the Celtics

  8. Champion-of-the-Sun5

I mean, her husband or fiance or whatever was fired. This isn’t his previous employer’s responsibility. Odd.

This is the equivalent of me getting fired from my job for sexually harassing a coworker and then my fiance getting pissed At my old bosses for not reaching out to her.

This poor woman is suffering and she of course is feeling very betrayed and left out to dry. Unfortunately, this just looks like the case of an adult who doesn’t know how to take responsibility for their own feelings.

What the fuck are they supposed to do? I feel bad for her, and Ime is a piece of shit. But get the fuck out of here with this shit.

  10. tiakeuta

God damn it, I wish we just knew what actually happened. There always feels like a piece is missing that makes it impossible to make heads or tales of the entire thing.

  11. illhavethatdrinknow

This is giving some strong Khloe Kardashian-Tristan Thompson energy

  12. burner_for_celtics

I’m trying to imagine the phone call from my boss to my wife after I have been suspended for improper conduct. Anyone want to game this out with me?

**Manager:** Hi Mrs. Burner. I hope it’s ok that I call you at this number that Mr. Burner listed on his emergency contact form. I’m sorry to have to do this, but this call is being recorded for legal purposes you understand. So… um… how you hanging in there?

  13. YankeesCelticsFan2

I saw this and thought it was a joke. Why the fuck would someone in the Celtics organization call someone who doesn’t work for them and ask them if they are ok from an affair? Makes absolutely no sense

  14. ShihPoosRule

This is a Karen asking to speak to the manager moment.

  15. JPCBeaverBoy

That’s Ime’s job not the Celtics. If one of my co-workers cheated on his wife, I wouldn’t expect my employer to check up on her.

  16. patsandceltics316

Ya not understanding how they owe her a call. Legit makes no sense

  17. eddieblasphemy

Are the Celtics professional women protectors? I’m just here to see them ball.

  18. beigereige

This sounds more like ‘everyone in the Celtics organization knew Ime was f*cking around on me and no one told me’

  19. ReasonableCup604

Why would the organization contact the sexual harasser’s girlfriend or wife? The company’s obligation is to protect its employees.

  20. Chasehat1

She’s mad at the wrong party in this situation LMAO

  21. She really got cheated on and is backing Ime up. Way to stand up for women around the world Nia

Edit: man does she look dumb

  22. hpantazo

I imagine they were probably advised not to contact her for legal issues while the situation with Ime remains unresolved.

  23. freehugandkiss

DM me her number and I’ll call to check on her

  24. SaintsNick94

I feel sorry for her and their son, but it is not the Celtics’ responsibility to check on her after her husband cheated. I imagine it would just make it worse for her. She is just wanting attention 🤦🏻‍♂️

  25. ReasonableCup604

    Long also said:

“I think the most heartbreaking thing about all of this was seeing my son’s face when the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public.”

Huh? The Celtics put out a brief, plain vanilla statement saying he was being suspended for violation of team policies.

Before the Celtics were even able to make their announcement, Ime’s camp started leaking the “consensual affair” spin as damage control.

  26. ManufacturerOk5

Someone get me her number so I can call and check on her 😜

  27. billcosbyinspace

She also complained that the Celtics made this story public which is even more absurd because A: it’s your husbands fault for cheating, B: we literally didn’t publicize it we tried to keep it private and it was leaked, and C: what did she want us to do, not discipline him for harassing an employee? Because you can’t carry on with business as usual or randomly fire him with no explanation

  28. Turbulent-Constant64

Joe can call if she wants, but he’s all out of bubble gum

  29. Turbulent-Constant64

Not one reporter has asked Nia Long what she thinks about Jerry Jones
