[Lowe] The trade I saw on Twitter was Russ & both picks, one w/ light protections I think for DeRozan & Vucevic, I can tell you 100 percent for sure that the Lakers have had internal discussions about that very possibility, if it would ever come up.

Not opposed, but the spacing on that lineup would be awful.

PG (Lonnie, Bev, Dennis, or Reaves)
    DeRozan
    Bron
    AD
    Vucevic

I suppose you could take Vucevic out in crunch time, but then why trade for both of them?

  2. Danny_III

I hate to say it but that trade doesn’t really move the needle. Derozan can’t playmake like Westbrook and doesn’t really offset that with spacing. Also he always seems to struggle in the playoffs, probably because his game is so midrange based and he doesn’t really have an answer when teams take that away

Vuc is garbage, he can’t defend and he’s not going to close games

  3. philawsophist

Haven’t paid attention to the mavs, but does anyone know if there’s a viable trade there? It seems they’re missing a playmaker (russ/nunn/bev?) and have some 3D wings to ship out.

  4. Won’t be mad at it

    But I don’t love it

I’d like it more if we could turn Vooch into Myles Turner

I still don’t hate Bojan + Bey for Beverly + Nunn and 1 pick

Means Lakers could go into the draft yeat able to trade 2023 (on draft night or later) and the other 1st in another deal

I mean with the way Lonnie hitting shots do we really need Derozan?

And Vucevic like having him and ad going to fuck spacing up for Lebron.

I don’t think this the trade for us. We need defensive minded players- we need lockdown defender for the extra ball handlers we got

  6. unclesweets

That trade doesn’t help our shooting nor does it help with spacing

  7. Lakers1996

I would be okay going after either Derozan or Vooch, but not both. Neither are good defenders. I’d be more inclined for Derozan if picking between them.

  8. incredibleamadeuscho

DeRozan is worth it and playing with LeBron can help him in the playoffs (if they make it) which has been DeRozan’s problem.

  9. I’m asking for Caruso and Derozan primarily, and it would be up to the Bulls to decide which players they want to add for salary-matching purposes. Perhaps a three-way trade where Vucevic ends up on some other team.

  10. No-Result-1180

We need a 3D wing player more than anything else.

  11. MrAustin316

Y’all believe everything you read on Twitter lmao

  12. If these guys get Vuc over Turner I’ll be sick

  13. Bahamut727

Honestly don’t want this deal that much.

I’d rather trade bev and Nunn to the spurs for Richardson and Poeltl. Costs 1 less pick and gives us more cap for next year

Or trade Russ to the Mavs

  14. quwin123

Getting Caruso is too much. They could get another pick for him. Unless making that second pick completely unprotected instead of lightly protected is enough to tip the scales.

    LeBron/Caruso

    Reaves/Dennis

    DeMar/Walker

    Davis/Brown Jr.

    Vucevic/Bryant

And then from there I’d try and repurpose Nunn and Bev into someone else, would a couple 2nd rounders be enough to get an almost washed up Eric Gordon?

  15. Somehow multi team it for Derozan, Caruso and Turner

    One can dream

  16. Bulls fan here

We hate this trade too lmao

Way too one sided in favor of the Lakers

  17. How is vucevic and derozan better for the LAKERS than turner and hield?

  18. Character_Safety_519

Ummm why would Bulls do this? DeRozan has to be worth more right?

  19. HenryGrosmont

A decent package, not a dream package. Two things are really concerning though: where the spacing will come from and DeRozan constantly choking in big moments. But maybe, as a third option, this problem solves itself.

  20. Sonnek75

This is so Lakers that it might actually happen. Yo we heard you need spacing so we got two guys who can’t really space but are good at other stuff. Not that this wouldn’t raise our ceiling but I think we would have some issues in the paint to put it lightly.

  21. kasaan110

So they talked about a fake trade that bill Simmons recommended come on now idk how these people get paid to make up shit and run with it all over tv lmao

  22. That’s so fucking stupid. Please god no. So much worse than the Pacers trade.

  23. Foreign_Tangelo

Bulls will never trade for Russ I can guarantee it. (Following the Bulls since the Caruso signing) Fans probably want to trade Zach rn since he’s playing like shit for AD. If you want Caruso you’ll have to include an AR-15 for him.

  24. Awesomefan09

Both FRPs? Absolutely not. Without the FRPs, sure.

    1. The Vucevic trade looks much worse now considering how good Franz Wagner is. Obviously, the Bulls are trying to get back a pick except Vucevic is 32 and on an expiring deal. Not worth a FRP, personally.

    2. Since the Bulls are under performing, they don’t want to pay 33 year old DeRozan $28.6 million next year. Westbrook’s expiring deal gets them off the hook. Cap space/relief is what they’re getting in return so I wouldn’t part with a FRP too.

  25. Bulls sun very much against this lol honeslyy I think it’s fine for both sides
