Anyone else think this is ridiculous? I guess these two have never listened to any other team broadcasts.

I definitely enjoy how the lakers broadcasters are really unbiased. They’re fine. Billy Mac definitely isn’t the best in terms of having the voice though. Their are commentators that enhance plays and make them feel even more special and that’s what he lacks imo.

ESPN’s call when Russ dove for the ball near the end vs Billy Mac’s call.

  3. Juaniscool-8

Yep, I like our broadcasting crew. But only time i switch over is when Mike Breen is commentating

I guess he doesn’t like the way he says Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaack in the box

  5. GTIinSoCal

Written by a Bucks fan who didn’t like his team losing 🤣

  6. yungzoowap

Warriors/Boston broadcasts are easily the worst

  7. Wild_Object_8547

They’re the best and these idiots should put the crack pipe down.

Bill MacDonald and Stu Lantz are the absolute best. I actually despise having to hear anyone else but them. They’re super unbiased. They call out the Lakers bad plays and even acknowledge bad calls the Lakers get.

Other commentators just talk shit on opposing teams. Can’t understand why anyone is drawn to that. FFS, Bill and Stu have actually praised other teams basketball play while the Lakers were flat out garbage.

I think Billy Mac is pretty bad, and Stu sometimes seems to be over it. They’re still our guys, and in reality, better than most. The Suns duo is a nightmare.

Bill Mcdonald is absolute class he hypes up big plays even if it’s for the other team

I pick Stu and Billy over mike breen and van Grundy any day.

Im not a big fan of Billy Mac either. He just doesn’t have the touch for me. So many times does Stu have to save him from absolutely shitting on himself for being a bad commentator. I mean he is the part of the sound of the lakers but if he got a new gig I wouldn’t really be sad. I would love to have John Ireland on radio and broadcast!

  13. fresh_timbs_jp

Every other network only has like 4-5 lines that they repeat over and over for every Lakers game

    -LeBron 38 years old
    -Kareem scoring record
    -Lakers losing isn’t Russ’s fault
    -AD injuries

At least Bill and Stu actually focus on the game being played

  14. Ok_Entrepreneur826

I prefer Johnny Ireland and Mychal Thompson but they’re also good.

  15. Chick is the goat. Billy Mac is a homer. It’s not the same.

“Lakers tradition”?!?! part of our tradition is literally the greatest play-by-play guy the basketball has ever seen

I think national TV broadcasts tend to have better video quality than Spectrum, but I will still always chose Spectrum if it’s an option specifically because our announcers are so much better than the vast majority of national TV commentators

I enjoyed Bill and Stu very much. They are very much unbiases and comfortable to listen to.
