Tyler said it…but he missed the comparisons don't work. The Celtics and Warriors are coming off finals appearances (and have one of the biggest money printer franchises out there). The Hawks are not that. The problem for the Hawks spending was the team flopped last year. We aren't the Celtics or Warriors. Part of that is a fan support issue, but a big part is a team success issue. It is what it is, but I had no expectations for this team to start the tax counter when the team flamed out last year. This year is about establishing what you have going forward IMO and that's why AJ and JJ are getting a lot of run.

It is true, unless your a special team. Contenders pay the tax and sometimes it is worth it sometimes it doesn’t but you should talk about moving JC, Clint and or Bogi in November. Unless you have a warriors track record to get undrafted guys to be valuable contributors, you need to get depth. If your going to buy into a Atlanta Hawks team. Buy in when you have your first home grown superstar, All-NBA type player since Dominique Wilkins.
