    Takeaways from tonight’s game:

    * That’s two games in a row where all of the starters actually meshed together. It’s obviously Dallas on a b2b without Luka, but the team was engaged on both sides of the floor and actually played modern basketball. We penetrated to create open looks from 3 and did that super consistently.
    * Deebo was lights out. Like genuinely untouchable tonight. At half he was +42 in 17 minutes. It’s fucking disgusting. At one point I was genuinely concerned he was going to make the entire Dallas roster foul out.
    * Zach once again looked like the all-star we maxed. Shot well, got to the rim well, and was active on defense. Hopefully he’s turned the corner.
    * Vucevic was a beast in the paint and shot the 3 well. If he did this every game, he’d be absolutely insane.
    * Pat was fucking lethal from 3 tonight. Defensive presence, 4/5 from 3. Genuinely great game by all standards.
    * Bench wasn’t stellar in the first half, but I’m more focused on just how well the starters meshed. Drummond was absolutely dunking on everyone and was the biggest bright spot in the second string (with DJJ shooting well being the other bright spot).
    * Coby didn’t look great out there, but that’s pretty nitpicky.
    * At the end of the day, it’s Dallas without Luka…we’re supposed to blow them out, but seeing the way the ball was moving tonight actually did give me some hope today.

    MVP’s for tonight: Demar, Vucevic, DJJ with HM’s going to Pat, Zach, and Ayo

    Bit of a scheduled loss for the Mavs, but Bulls still had to earn the win… and, boy, did they earn it.

    * 63%FG 56%3P
    * Nearly 8 Bulls in double figures
    * 33 assists
    * 60+ Bench Points
    * Mavs only shooting 25%3

    An expected win – but still a dominant one and from start to finish. And the starters got plenty of rest too.

    Edit: Corrections made after the game lowered assists from 35 to 33.

    After tonight Patrick Williams is a *career* 0.425% three point shooter

    Idk how good he is as a shooter considering a slow release and low volume but he’s taking over 4 threes per 36 this season and that’s the exact volume I wanted him to jump to. So glad he’s done it.

    If nothing else it’s a only a good thing that he makes the shots he takes. .435% from the corners. I believe he’s at least over 38% above the break. Good indicators as a good shooter and I am very happy if he can do this.

    Dominant game from start to finish from the Bulls. Love to see the smiles and everyone having fun out there. It’s really different when the offense meshes together and everyone gets to eat.

    Mavs without Luka are a sad team.
