Remember when the NBA put Scott Foster on this game and then ABC put up 21-6 on the screen pregame for like 5 minutes
JT took a massive step back in his MVP credentials today.. we can still go 5-6 on the road so not too bothered, but JT screwed multiple chances at a comeback
Edit : I don’t buy into the “revenge” narrative and a loss doesn’t bother me.. it’s the fact that we made the exact same mistakes like the finals that was the most painful part.. we can still take the next 2 and this loss will be a distant memory by Feb

A lot that can go wrong went wrong, and you know what? Were still positive on this road trip. Were still the best team in the NBA. And we only advance to 21-6.
Move on, and worry about the next game. Winning this one doesnt magically change what happened in June, but it doesnt matter. This team is still better than that one.

In the grand scheme of things, it’s just one game. You could clearly see that the warriors were the more desperate team and weren’t going to let the mighty Celtics get their way tonight on their home court. But it still hurts more than just one game, I gotta admit.
And down eight with Tatum at the line and he bricks both of them. Right now, the warriors are in his head. Just gotta call it like it is.
That felt like 5 L’s in one game

This game was just a Finals replay: Jayson was off but Jaylen was good and the team just seemed to not be in the right mental space all night.
The only positive I can take away from it is at least the Jays had just 2 TO’s each but Tatum at -13 tonight says it all.
I know this is the nba today but something small that irks me is how buddy buddy Tatum is with the warriors players after the game. It’s like he looks at these guys as big brothers and he plays like it too. I know it’s early but as of right now. This teams still in our head. We’re on to LA
The team needs to figure out GSW. I don’t know if its mental or what, but they definitely have the talent to beat them, just gotta get over that mental hurdle.
Absolute fucking joke on defense. The constant fucking drop coverage that just lets them roll right up for easy buckets. We need to figure that shit out.

JT got to the rim so many times. So many. They just wouldn’t fall. It sucks. We’ve also seen that before. I would like to see JT be able to score himself out of a funk. Sometimes I feel like he just doesn’t know how.
The negativity on here is really getting to me.
Obviously it’s a frustrating loss but it’s a regular season loss on a long road trip down 2 starters against a desperate GS team. We’re still 25-6 which is pretty damn good.
Obviously have a lot of work to do but I’m really not that worried. More than anything this game shows how important Big Al is to this team. It’s easy to forget how young this team is and Al brings so much veteran leadership.
On to the next one.
The hugs and kisses after these games has to stop. Does Tatum just think “ok, once Steph is done it’ll be my time?”

1. We had no real answers in the paint with no Rob and no Al. Shocker, it’s hard to win without 2/5 starters.
2. JT had only his second bad game out of a possible 27 so far this season.
3. Klay and Steph had their best combined game since KD was still a Warrior and Kyrie was still a Celtic.
4. We get really unlucky with so many tips going straight to Golden State.
5. Our team still showed a ton of fight to the very end.
6. We are 21-6 sucks to lose to the Warriors but they are just juggernauts at home and they needed this win WAYYY more than we did after the way they shat the bed their last game.
7. Scott Foster was in his bag tonight lol

Just 1 game but gonna be annoying hearing how the Celtics still can’t beat the warriors, especially with Tatum picking up where he left of from the finals. Joe needed to play small the whole game and switch everything instead of that awful drop coverage, when you let dudes like that get easy looks early they’re bound to go off. Plus he kept brogdan out in favor of grant who really did nothing except pump fake his 3s and then pass
