This team (as it is presently playing and under this current offensive/defensive philosophy) is not getting out of the 2nd round. We have championship potential, but this team feels stuck in the mud right now and I don't know what it needs to get out.

I hate to be a party pooper, but this being close game isn't a good sign…
The end of the game plays: THT drives on KCP for AND1, then he drives on Braun and Gordon combined for another bucket and then there is a defensive miscommunication between KCP and Brown in which they let THT have an open drive to the basket where Denver's "defensive liability" Nikola Jokic pokes the ball from him, and it goes out of bounds of THT. This was like in span of 3 minutes. It really is insane that out of all these "defenders" freaking Jokic in the end is the best defensive player. When Utah was pouring 3pts it wasn't because of Jokic it was because of these great defenders.
I love AG man, but his defensive impact is overstated. Over 8600 minutes sample with AG on Nuggets Devener's defense has been 1.4 points worse with him on the court than him off. Which is insane looking at who Denver's backups were during his tenure here.
My dude Bones would need to work extremely hard to get to oh I don't know Will Barton's level of being bad on defense. It's comical how bad on defense Bones is. People drive past him, not like that he is a cone, but an actively moving cone so that he doesn't get in a way. It's really pissing me off. It's like he is hiding himself, so he doesn't get touched by anyone while "playing" defense.
PS: Last season mighty trio on 6th seed Denver Nuggets of Facundo Campazzo, JaMychal Green and Will Barton are out of league, out of rotation and out of rotation on their teams respectfully.
And if you take a look at 538 stats, Will Barton is tied for last place with -1.0 WAR and Green is couple of spots ahead with -0.8.
This group of citizens was taken to playoffs by your MVP. Denver needs to replace the coach who obviously doesn't have a clue how to utilize his players and relies completely on Jokic. If their coach was just gone, you would not be able to notice any decline in their play. It would remain exactly the same, that is how much impact Mike Malone has on this team.
