> The hold up in the potential three-teamer was that the Rockets are coveting one first-round pick for Gordon, and for Martin a very good first-rounder, not a batch of second-rounders, according to sources.

If horst pulls another “how about 4 2nds instead of a first” trade I’m gonna laugh.

  2. HungLuke

Damn, four is a ton. Though if we’re giving up back-end guys (Hill and Nwora), you could talk me into it

  3. jbenson255

I mean 4 seconds is a lot but second aren’t really that valuable. I would not be a fan of crowder joining the bucks though they are already pretty great

  4. Lycan275

Eric Gordon finally gonna get his wish of going to Phoenix 10 years later

  5. lil_extro_vert_

No team is gonna give up a “very good first rounder” for Martin, unless we have different interpretations of what very good first rounder means

starting to think this trade is absolutely cooked.

I think this was basically rumored a while ago, so sounds legit.

Too bad it couldn’t get done, maybe it still will. Maybe as season goes on Phoenix eventually will throw in a little more compensation for Houston.

But I guess Houston has no incentive to make a deal before trade deadline just so they can see all the offers on the table for their players, even if that asking price probably won’t get met.

Would love Crowder on the Bucks, they need more bigger wings.

Kenyon Martin Jr would be the real steal for Suns

Word on the streets is Crowder/Collins/Turner trade is imminent

  10. FootballWithTheFoot

Suns fans are really gonna pile onto the “added crowd noise in The Blender” conspiracy theory if they get Eric Gordon lmao

  11. ForceMaster999

Suns better not trade anymore than a 2023 first for these players

They are not close to worth multiple 1sts

  12. Baskatball

4 seconds for EG AND KJ is a non starter for Houston. Three seconds for EG would be good for them, but leave KJ out of it

Really hope we’re not trading our best shooter in Grayson for Crowder, would be a sideways step

The Rockets have no point in stocking up on 2nd rounders. They can’t give their young players enough rotation minutes as is. They also cannot tank next year because next year they don’t have their 1st round pick.

For the Rockets, Gordon they will clearly trade away because he’s not in their future. But there is no need for them to trade Kenyon Martin Jr. beyond the fact that he wants out. The price isn’t a lottery pick, but no point for the Rockets to trade him for anything less than a pick projected to be mid-to-late teens. Cause this upcoming offseason, the Rockets are going to spend money on FAs and they are going to try to at least aim for a play-in spot next year.

Rockets need to stop dangling KJ. I know he requested a trade but you rebuild to get guys like him. We should honestly look to move Tate instead since he’s older (even though I don’t want to move him either).

  16. Makes sense for the bucks if they can move that terrible jingles contract, otherwise they’d have to give up Allen or crazy eyes and then the trade is more horizontal

Can some Bucks fan explain to me why they have the hots for Crowder?

They have the #1 defense in the league by a country mile, yet are only 16th in offense (and yes I know Middleton missed most of the season), doesn’t change the fact that if I was trying to acquire a piece if I was the Bucks, I would want somebody who is a capable offensive player and give me production, as the Bucks clearly lack shot creation outside of their Big 3.

Their 2 best offensive players that aren’t the Big 3 are Bobby Portis and Grayson Allen, both of whom can be attacked on the defensive end.

Bogdan Bogdanovic, Derrick Rose, Jordan Clarkson etc. IMO is more of a need than Jae Crowder, unless they plan to lean into super-big lineups with Middleton as the 2.

FWIW I’m a big Jae fan, I think he’s been a supremely undervalued key role player for like 5 years now, but I just don’t see the Bucks as the team that needs him.

Man can we please keep KMJ. I wish they’d take Tates bum ass instead.

  19. AstroWorldSecurity

Don’t trade KJ unless it’s a massive overpay, and we don’t need second round picks at all.

  20. ExcellentJuice4729

Yeah why on Earth would the Rockets give up valuable assets for Jae Crowder WITHOUT FRPs? This is like Lakers media delusional

  21. “The only hold up to this deal is Houston doesn’t want the compensation proposed” wow amazing reporting, sounds like a deal is close

  22. Is the idea of Jae better than actual Jae at this point???

  23. krbashrob

Please trade EG and Tate. Kevin Martin Jr is finally coming into his own and contributing to our wins in a big way even with limited minutes

  24. silversmith84

Wouldn’t the Bucks rather have Gordon. I get they could use Crowders defensive versatility, but I just see Gordon as a more valuable player. I think he could really step up his game on a contending team.

  25. spidersilva09

This is a 2K trade where I just keep adding 2nds until they accept

  26. ShadowOfOrion

Good, we should hold out. EG and Kenyon Martin Jr. are worth more than a few second rounders.

  27. If the “along with players” includes Letters Bro, sure.

No way we’re letting KJ (AND EG) go for 2nd rounders.

  28. Sad-Mathematician-19

Seems like a good trade all around here.

Rockets nab 4 second rounders for their continued rebuild and do Gordon a service of sending him to a title contender.

Bucks won’t need their draft picks that’ll land in the high 50s anyways and get another shooter.

Sun’s trade out someone who hasn’t played all year and get a better player in return.

Shocked this deal hasn’t happened yet.

If I’m the rocket I definitely don’t include Martin. There is no reason to. They definitely can get a low first rounder for him.

  29. Eric Gordon on the Suns just makes the games way worst.

  30. penguin_torpedo

They plan on playing Crowder at the 3? Cause Giannis Brook and Bobby should be enough to cover all 4 and 5 minutes
