My theory is he doesn’t call timeouts because he got nothing to say in them. Probably just asks his players to figure it out and they’re usually smart and talented enough to do it

I understand Joes point of trying to let the guys figure it out themselves. They are more than experienced enough to do so.

But in a back-to-back with both bigs missing the timeout isn’t to change gameplan it’s to let the players fucking rest.

Joe left them in way too long last night and just let them play in 2nd gear for the entire third and start of 4th

I actually love how Joe uses timeouts. It forces our guys to figure things out in real time. Having to do that on regular basis makes us a more mature basketball team.

The meme is pretty good though

The Head Coach in the NBA hardly matters, I’m with Joe thinking strategic timeouts are mostly vastly overrated.

It’s a great tool for the guys to figure things out when we win. Had AD hit those two FTs we’d all be decrying how Mazulla let the Lakers wreck us for the majority of the fourth quarter.
