The NBA, Ranked – Embiid #7

Ringer has Embiid at #7.

At this point, I don’t think there is anything Embiid can do change the minds of national pundits.

Reasonable ranking when you consider that he leads the league in scoring, at a very efficient 64% TS, anchoring a defense that’s significantly over performing it’s talent, and leading a team to a respectable record despite missing its #2 and #3 players

    /s in case lol

As individuals, some of the people at The Ringer can be fine and give good takes. When they come together as a group though, I expect nothing less. Some of the people they have ahead of Harden as well…good grief.

I would put him at 3. I don’t think he’s earned a spot above Giannis, or Curry. Despite the MVP voting the past two years, I think Embiid is above Jokic, as well as Tatum, Doncic, and Durant (though barely, and only currently). If you’re going to hold his postseason performance against Embiid I don’t understand how you have Jokic at 3

I could type pages regarding this, but I’ll leave it at this list fucking sucks and reads more like a 13 year old’s “here are my favorite players right now!” list.

Maybe if he averages 40 ppg he can scratch top 5

This isn’t an insult. Maybe you can argue that he should be a spot or two higher but everyone above him has legitimate arguments as well. Putting AD above him would be insulting. I’m okay with Embiid at 7.
