Boston fits my model as a Championship contender

The top teams in the NBA according to our EPSS stat.

In 10 of the past 11 seasons, teams that had an EPSS of 20.00 or higher during the regular season have went on to win the championship that season.

Teams that fit that criteria right now?
• BOS
• MIL
• NOP
• CLE

If it were up to this subreddit, this team is never winning a championship lol

If we get back to our defensive identity that we had last year, I personally don’t see how we aren’t the favorites to win after adding Brogdon. Even with the yips we have against GS.

We are on the same level with Milwaukee. They don’t rely on 3 as much. That’s why they have less blowouts or embarrassing losses. I think they are the real contender because they have the best player in the league.

Well, I don’t understand what they hell this number represents but it seems neat.

What are the differences between this and Elo?

  5. You and I use different metrics, and yet we still have the same results! Incredible.

Edit: instead of Team EPSS, I use TfB: Teams from Boston. The Celtics, impressively, are both in our #1 slots. The only difference is I have the Lakers in dead last, where they will stay for eternity.
