Fred is a solid player, I don't believe he fits anymore. Pg body with a Sg mind. Trade is coming….
@benrogers you are not gonna get much more than a protected 1st and some good young players for fred at this point. if his shooting efficiency goes up you may get a 2nd first round pick but if he is making 30 million, you are getting alot of filler contracts like goran dragic back. thats the reality. if he plays worse, you wont get anything for him.
If Fred was focused on getting the ball to guys when they in their spots..it would be better. Maybe he's best as a SG. Scottie PG

Fred is not a bad player the issue is he is not the player the Raptors need, especially an undersized guard who is limited to playmaking. Its time to move on from him and time to get a floor general or a catch and shoot player to compliment Barnes

Fred is not a terrible player, he is objectively a below average nba point guard, but he gets treated like a superstar in terms of opportunity and playtime. This is an opportunity cost for the Raps .. just ask Malaki, Dowtin, and Banton… these dudes get no in-game development. When he is not shooting well he gets exposed since, as a point guard, he is not a great passer and slasher. He often forces shots at the end of the shot clock, which is part of the reason we lose a lot of close games. He really does not make others better… he slows down the offence and can barely throw a lob.

Booting NN is crazy talk. He can adapt and experiment and figure it out. No coach is perfect. Trading Fred at high value is a good move. I love what he's done with the Raps and his 2 man game with Siakam has been solid for years. But the efficiency isn't there for him to be the 2nd option. Go Raps!

I've been really quiet with the Fred hate. I'm completely bias, as I love the guy and as a man and his character. Obviously he's going through a drought/slump. Defense is no where near where it was last year, but I wouldn't get rid of him. His trade value isn't high at this point anyways. Once he starts dropping 3s everything will forget this conversation.

Fred should be moved to the 2nd permanently. He's more of catch and shoot. I think we should experiment with Scottie bringing up the ball more. Do not trade Fred – he has a good 2 years left. We need a good big + shooting which needs to be addressed this trade deadline.
I agree with you Ben in the big picture Fred is not that bad, a few days ago I was saying something has to give with this team and if that means a trade that might involve Fred and Trent and I say Trent because the Raptor's need to offer him something before the end of the year so we don't have the Lowry situation where he bolts at the end of the season and we get nothing, so if we have to trade him, package him with someone so we can get a nice return. But back to Fred, I wouldn't give up yet. I think part of the problem here is we need OG, and Siakam, and Fred to going all on consecutive nights, it seems OG is going but Siakam was hurt, then Siakam is going and Fred's hurt, and then we get Fred back and now OG is out, and we won't even talk about Precious and Porter and Hernangomez . So I think if all those players and our top 3 are going anyone of them can have a bad game or two and it gets lost in the rest of the teams success. But we can't catch a break and have a whole team healthy for at least one week so that we can get some chemistry. There's probably been a different lineup most of the season so far and no one can count on playing with the same unit for a week or so. Anyway we need some luck and chemistry. Go Rap !!!
First trade no, but I'd take White in a different package, second trade maybe but other moves would have to be made to add two guards at that point. Flynn needs to be moved cause he isn't getting minutes and isn't in the g league as often as Banton, so than what's the point of him being here .
Now that's funny. Last season Fred was everyones hero, All-Sar, hurrah. And now he's the bad guy? Ok, he's not playing that well this season but why is that? He's burned out, man! He has to do it all: playmaking, defense, offense, shooting….playing almost 40 min per game. Don't make him responsible for the front office's mistakes putting together a 6,9 roster that can't shoot and is overwhelmed by N.N. concepts. A trade would not really make anything better, Raptors need another concept.

Need to get fanvleet off team. He consistently hijacks the offence there’s little to no movement just him and siakem iso ball. I’ve stopped watching bc it’s not fun to watch. Win or lose they need to play the right way and only way to do so is remove one of siakem or vanfleet.
