also gotta realize we are without john and dj right now. they’ll be back soon, we, if everything goes right, should have them 2 for all the games you said. not saying we are gonna win, but we are without our 3 best defensive guys right now,, of course things aren’t gonna be pretty.
Jalen Johnson has really fallen off the last few weeks. He was playing really well earlier in the season. Overall, the front court is too inconsistent, even when JC is healthy. I'm really not sure who is available in a trade that would be a significant upgrade to what we already have.
That conference finals tricked the franchise into thinking we were a couple players away from a Chip. Trae isn't good enough to be the best player on a Championship team, the coach is outdated and the roster is poorly constructed. Anyone objective can see that, ironically, the only player worth rebuilding around is Dejounte Murray. If you took out Trae and brought in Siakam, then moved Dejounte to point guard, we'd be WAY better. I also hate how useless Trae is on defence. In most sports, defence wins championships, unless you're an incredibly high scoring team like Golden State. We don't have the splash brothers, so we're wasting our time trying to do it that way, plus teams are getting taller every year. Trade Trae and go BIG… but we won't do it.
