Tim is absolutely correct and I really wish ppl stop talking crazy about Jay Hey contract when that contract brought the first freaking championship since 1908. I’d do that contract a million freaking times if that’s the case not to freaking mention that was ONE freaking contract that was signed almost a freaking decade ago so stop bc you sound stupid. Ppl only try to use that contract as if it was a handcuff for the team not being able to sign players when that’s absolutely bs bc the Cubs were never handcuffed and could’ve signed anyone at anytime being that the Cubs are a top THREE MARKET. This team is being ran like the freaking A’s but worst bc at least the A’s win.
If Dansby Swanson signs with the club he should be applauded bc everyone would know he really really wanted to be a Cub bc he’s going to have to take considerably less money from penny pinching JedTom in order to join this team.
