.SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown shared his thoughts about associate head coach Jordi Fernández filling in for him after he was ejected from the game played between the Kings and Toronto Raptors on Dec. 14, 2022. 🎙
The Kings (16-12) won the road game 124-123. Brown was actually grateful to the whole coaching staff for taking over in his absence. 🎙
“I’ve known Jordi Fernández for 20 years or whatever it is. I hate to say this publicly ’cause I don’t want to lose him but he’s ready to be a head coach,” Brown said after the Kings’ practice on Dec. 18 at the team’s training facility. “People are missing the boat on him. He’ll get his opportunity at some point. Hopefully, he’ll stay with us a few years because he makes my life easier.”

Mike Brown learned that Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive “added more power and lasers” to the BEAM, he said. Brown made a special request to the Sacramento region.
“I am calling all of Sacramento… when the BEAM goes up put (up) your location and send it to the Sacramento Kings.”
