The whole team went into a shooting slump at one. Everyone stopped making open shots🤦🏾♂️
Yes, it's true our team is in a slump. However, I know this team will pull through this.
Al Horford = Experienced Center
Timelord = Athletic Energetic Center
Missing = A Physical Powerful Center
Its important to have someone who can bully in the paint for easy buckets when we're in a slump. At the moment it feels like Smart is the primary choice for that case and that's a weakness albeit Smart does well at that for his position.
It’s mostly mental. They were brought back down to earth after that Warriors game. It’s as if they are trying to win current games with past success. Just showing up is not enough-they have to be willing to fight, scrap and stay focused on the task at hand. Any organization can put together a team that looks good on paper and once said team puts together some wins the confidence will come. But only great teams will be able to battle through adversity. They are virtually unbeatable when shooting the three well. But when they’re not, they need to learn to stay calm & not panic. Perfect example was Sunday vs Orlando. This team is very good, but not great. Not yet. Thanks John 🙏🏻☘️🔒
Mazzulla is a scorer at heart!! He's trying to build this team up in the areas we were weak in last year!! By playoff time they will have things figured out
Honestly I think losing to Golden State mentally hurt this team and they have to figure it out. I think they’d be rolling right now if they had won that game. But I think they’ll be better for it come playoff time. Especially if they win on the 19th. This team needs mental toughness right now. The Golden State loss is making them miss a lot of open shots.
imo some of the overreactions are warranted. given the team's current performance, it's perfectly reasonable to be concerned about certain aspect's of the team's performance, the way mazzula is coaching/not calling timeouts, etc.
the 3 things i think the celtics should be addressing:
1. the turnover problem. we can't have a repeat of last year's finals.
2. the rebounding problem. the wings and guards should be boxing out as we are generally a small team. everyone should be crashing the boards. i wouldn't be against one of our guys crashing the offensive glass as well even when i know that's not a typical celtic scheme.
3. settling for 3's. they have to learn the read the game. if the 3's arent falling for some time already, regardless if it's wide-open, they should be attacking the basket and trying to get to the line. or run a post-up/baseline actions. the offense is so ugly when it's a swing-swing 3 pointer every time down. at least get multiple paint touches and off-ball screens 1st.
they are 1pass away for a better shot and White and Hauser is struggling
thats why they struggling they are back at what their doing in last championship with the Warriors
How do you say “JB”, without saying “JB”? 🤔
Hauser is under pressure, does not hit any shoot
as soon as he starts coaching like a real coach and make adjustments people will lay off him- there will never be an excuse for losing 2 at home to Orlando
I watched Milwakee vs New Orleans and saw a real coach making constant adjustments
I think with arrival of Brogdom, Derick White should be out and bring a player taller and atletic
@John It is extremely annoying to loose to Orlando at home in back to back home games. I'm glad to get your perspective and thoughts on this. Thanks for the upload.
Isn't a coach supposed to notice thsi and correct it like real coaches do?
