While probably the perfect fit for the Cavs, there’s 0 chance we get O.G., would be incredible if we could though. DG/Don/OG/EV/Allen would be a death line up to the rest of the league
All I want for Christmas is for Koby to pull off a miracle trading Levert, Osman, Okoro, Wade+any and all possible draft capital for this man
Edit: you guys really love our inconsistent not good bench guys too much lol, raptors wouldn’t accept this trade but it would 100% make us closer to a championship team. Rubio, Love, Lamar are still solid bench guys(playoffs only play 7/8 guys anyway) plus at that point we’d be the hottest destination for guys in the buyout market, and salary wise the raptors would have to send another guy or two to us. Delusional take that this wouldn’t be worth it for us due to depth concerns.
Yeah it’ll never happen. He’s the perfect 3&D wing. It sucks, but we do not have the ammo to get him.
Blew our load on Mitchell unfortunately. Otherwise this would be the perfect guy for that 3 spot and makes us as competitive as the Celtics and Bucks
He’s a great player but he’s no superstar or borderline superstar like Mitchell, more like an elite role player, as close as it can get. A team like NY or Portland may pull the trigger.
OG is a good to very good player, but any team that trades multiple players and multiple first round picks for him is insane.
I’d be willing to deal garland for OG. Lets be honest we are not getting out the east with our current small backcourt. We can not match up with bigger wings. With rubio on the way back this may be a good oppo to get exactly what we need. A defensive minded wing who can shoot the 3 and match up against the elite wings in the east. Garland is expendable now that we have Don who has taken another step.

Would an expiring contract in levert plus okoro. With whatever picks the Cavs have the chance to trade be able to get it finished? The raptors would benefit by getting a young player in Okoro to back up or play next to Scottie Barnes. The expiring would allow for cap space into the upcoming offseason, I’m not sure with the DM trade how the pick situation would go, the Cavs would also have to take on Thad young to make this work. I doubt this happens at all, but something that i thought of
We don’t have the ability to get OG, so he’s who you hope Okoro turns into in 4 years. Shooting has to improve (about 4-5% from 3 better).
I’m not done hoping yet. He’s shown glimpses. It’s all about shooting improvement for him.
Trade Love for Hayward instead. The Hornets will be dumping him for free at the deadline. OG is just never going to happen (until he hits free agency in 2024)
Yeah Toronto is insane if they think they are getting that package for OG.
