ESPN Reports The Raptors Could Receive A HUGE Trade For OG Anunoby

The Toronto Raptors have now lost 6 games in a row and the possible output of the season is beginning to look very bleak for the team and its fans. With five difficult games coming up to end the calendar year the team could look to begin selling off some assets before the deadline in an attempt to retool for next season. One of those players could surprisingly be OG Anunoby and ESPN reporters like Zach Lowe have recently sounded off on the amount teams would have to give up the pry the forward away for Toronto. He likened the deal to a similar amount to what the Cleveland Cavaliers gave up to trade for star man Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz. The Raptors almost certainly have no plans to trade the player but if an offer as good as this was presented, would Masai Ujiri consider it?

Though it’s still too early for the front office to commit to selling or buying players in the trade market, considerations need to start taking place about the chances of overall success for the Raptors this season after yesterday’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers puts them at 13-18 on the season. How far can they slip before Masai Ujiri takes action? If the team goes in that direction, could OG Anunoby really be on the table for trade for teams like the Portland Trail Blazers sniffing around?

  1. UTAH, Detroit and OKC are rich with draft picks. How about Beasley and Vanderbilt plus draft picks to Toronto for GTJ, Birch and possibly Flynn/ Hermangomez.

  2. We ain't trading none of our players I know masisi and he doesn't sell early maybe one of our players will be gone but that's it

  3. Guys I just came up with this 3 team deal and this sends SGA to the Raptors. Here it is:
Raptors Recieve: Shai Gilgeous Alexander and Desmond Bane
OKC Receives: OG Anunoby and Fred VanVleet
Grizzlies Receive: Precious Achuiwa, 2023 2nd round pick, 2024 1st round pick, 2026 1st round pick
    Who says no?

  4. The issue with OG is that he's perfect for a rebuild and he's perfect for win now.

I'd prefer to offer Siakam in a package for Mobley. Take on Love's salary if necessary. Cleveland are ready to win now.

  5. As I have said since last Summer you got to decide who to pay. I think you want to pay OG but could trade GTJ or FVV.

  6. I would understand if OG got traded.

But it would break my heart.

I'd be having a Whitney Houston moment

  7. I personally don't think Scottie Barnes is worth the risk to build around. Pascal and OG are legit. Maybe create some kind of trade package around Barnes/Fred and try and get a player who can run an offense (Lamelo Ball)

  8. Just keep in mind that Scottie loves playing with OG and their timelines are closer than Fred or Pascal. I want to trade Fred and see what the market is willing to give for Pascal. As for GTJ, I would move him if there is no commitment to stay in Toronto. Is he willing to accept his player option or what does he want to stay in Toronto?

  9. We need a legit centre and a legit point guard, in order to contend.

    1. If management is willing to use draft picks to fill holes, that would work. It would cost around 3-4 first rounders to shore up our roster.

    2. Otherwise we gotta tank this year and build through one more draft, at least.

  10. I agree with one of the comments below, why would you trade OG and leave a big hole to fill, try to package Fred, Gary, and possibly Scottie for some proven talent to go along with what we got have or when their contracts are up (meaning our top 3 players) why would you stay with a team that is not moving up but only getting worse. The last couple of weeks have been the worst shooting percentage I've ever seen this team have. I was saying all along you gotta hit 10 to 15 3's if you hope to win any games but I was assuming that they would be shooting maybe in the 40's in FG percentage. If your shooting in the mid 20's in FGP then you probably should be hitting 20 3's per game which no team does on a regular basis. So a trade seems to make sense in moving this team forward not blowing it up. Go Raps !!!

  11. Must say hes pretty good, but a bit overrated as well during the trade requests..whats tripping me is reptors got OG fvv siakam scotty b, g trant jr and still struggle big time..maybe they are not as good as they are presented to be

  12. Why is nobody asking for accountability from Masai Ujiri? He failed to pull the trigger in that KD – Barnes trade. No. Trading OG is not the answer. The problem with the Raptors is the long dry spells which could have been filled up by KD.
