Kevin Durant at the age of 34 is having arguably one of his best seasons ever on both ends of the floor while leading the Nets to a playoff seeding in the tough eastern conference this season. Is he MVP? I think so.

For reference Steph had a TS% of 66.9 in 2016 and holds the record. The next best is some guy named Dantley in 1983 with 66.1% and then Curry again with 65.5 in 2021.
He’s also leading the league in defensive PPP in iso situations along with nic claxton. One of his best all around years

57% from the field is for a volume perimeter scorer who gets 100% of the defensive attention is truly unreal and makes for one of the greatest offensive seasons of all time but people haven’t realized yet
For gods sake he’s shooting a better % from mid range than Shaq ever did in the paint 💀
It’s only december. He gotta keep it up too.
MJ having over 60% true shooting in four consecutive seasons while averaging over 33PPG without taking 3pointers is still insane to me. Only missed one game in that period of time, too.
A lot of people are still bitter about him joining the Warriors, but you just can’t deny how good this guy is. Best scorer easily.
It’s disgusting how automatic he is from mid range
I beg people to use TS+. Otherwise these stats are pretty meaningless
Bro wtf
Not nearly enough MVP buzz around KD right now
(That would be the only 32 game season in NBA history.)
MVP.
*legacy points added*
We don’t like the way he talks about the game and he clearly lacks MJ’s cool, young Lebron’s playfulness or old Lebron’s gravitas, Kareem’s intelligence, Russell’s stoicism, Steph’s confidence, Magic’s megawatt smile, Bird’s country charm or Giannis’s wholesome vibes but he’s an underrated candidate for Mount Rushmore.
What he’s able to do on both sides of the ball, historic offense and very good defense with a ton of versatility on either end may be unmatched in NBA history.
What is the highest TS% for like 25-29 ppg?
Still a top 5 player in the NBA idc
