I’m expecting a trade within this year for us to get a backup center. It’s a big need for us to keep competing for a playoff spot seeing as it’s a bloodbath in the West with 11 teams vying for a spot. Missing Domas would spell doom for us especially if he’s going to be gone for a long time.
I can see Monte trying to get Jakob Poeltl as he is the best fit for us along with his passing, though not as great as Domas. I can see a straight-up trade with Holmes plus two 2nd round picks for Poeltl or a Davis, Len and KZ or Metu plus a 2nd round pick for him.
We’ll know what Monte will do in the coming days.
Time for Richaun Holmes to get back on his groove and wakeup from his 1.5 season worth of slump. He used to be a starting caliber Center, don't know what exactly happened to his game to not even be a good backup Center

I had a look at some advaned stats, MOSES BROWN from Clippers is a great trade if we give him minute's. Call me crazy…. Look at his advanced stats
Kings need another Terrapin on the roster: Jalen Smith would be a perfect fit. The Pacers seem to be souring on him lately, being demoted from his starting role and only getting about 15-20 minutes off the bench now. He just had a kick-ass game off the bench in their last outing, however. 14 points, 11 boards, and 3 solid blocks in 22 minutes of action. He finally hit a couple of 3's also. He's been struggling in that department this season, but the rest of his game has been really solid, especially his rim-protecting and rebounding. He would be an excellent backup for Sabonis as his skillset would fill in some of Sabonis's minor deficiencies, like shot-blocking and rim-running. Plus, Jalen stroked the 3 ball at 37% last season for the Pacers after the trade from the Suns. He has great shot mechanics for a big man (well anybody really), so I think once he breaks free of this 3-point slump, he can get his average back up to mid-30's or above (with enough open looks). The Pacers have been utilizing him as a power forward this year, whereas last year he was mostly playing center, as Myles Turner was injured. Jalen seems to be more comfortable at center. He shoots the 3 ball better as a trailer coming up the floor from the center position, as opposed to a PF spreading the floor at the 4.

My real question for those calling Rishaun Holmes card: #1 my issue is Mike Brown plays a specific offense set that starts with Sabonis at the top of the key with different screens to get Sabonis opportunities to pass to usually Huerter or Fox off those screens first etc, etc. Do you think he'll change his system now because Sabonis is out to a half court system ala like Walton did and try to run plays for Rishaun Holmes?? Who has a few good moves from 5-8 foot range but that's about all? He gives good effort on rebounds and how he is on the Mike Brown defense system rank is still undecided..but if Queta is getting a look over him.. it tells you something.
So how does Holmes crack the starting position if Sabonis is out?
