Heat vs. Timberwolves ending yesterday controversial?

Saw this YouTube short yesterday talking about the ending between Heat and Timberwolves game. I think he’s arguing that the ref swallowed his whistle causing the Timberwolves to lose…

Not sure what I think, it could have probably been called a reach in at the end but I don’t think the players getting wrapped up was very controversial, thoughts?

Eh, I thought it might have been a foul watching live, but that’s more incidental than anything (arguably Ant pushes off a bit too).

I also felt the Wolves got a few friendly whistles downr the stretch when Naz bumped drivers with his body/hips and got away with it (at least two of the Wolves’ buckets down the stretch were from fast breaks started by turnovers related to that contact).

I think some teams shamelessly work the refs from every possible angle, and some others (like the wolves) don’t bother with foul baiting and little jabs that go unnoticed, like this one. Just the little shit like bumping hard on screens or planting right as you’re cutting left to trip a guy, because the refs aren’t calling that sorta stuff. They got super smart dudes in Lowry and butler teaching them how to do it.

It’s a shitty form of basketball but it’s the play style that’s consistently rewarded and we hurt ourselves as a franchise by not having floppers on this squad
