man once his shot started falling last year it made him so much more efficient because hes never statistically been all that good at the rim. now that guys arent closing out, it’s basically been the worst slump of his career right now. I dont mind because he was never supposed to be taking 20+ FGAs, but man, idk if we can rely on that moon ball he shoots. I want him to succeed so badly, so hopefully they can iron out the shot as the year goes on.

The good news is it’s a long season and he’s shown the work ethic that will help him recover. I wouldn’t expect 40+ percent being the norm for him but I have faith he can consistently stay around 30/35. The hardest thing for a young player to learn is consistency, he just needs time and confidence. There’s not a better coach in the NBA for a slumping player to play for than Pop.
If we’re still seeing this trend come May or going into next season, it may be panic time. But that’s a long way off.
it’s time for devin to be the first option
such a slow release
