Just rebuild at this point. Trade bron and ad and russ and try to get some picks and young talent
There's no deal coming. The Lakers are really just telling their fans this. What deal can they make that would make them think it moves the needle. At this point, even a kyrie deal wouldn't move the needle since there's not enough rotation pieces to help them win. I think they are trying in a subtle way to say hey we're not making any move, don't expect it so don't blame us when the deadline passes and nothing is done since we warned you. Honestly, the only way to build a team around LeBron and have some flexibility to make other moves is by trading ad, reality is ad is too injury prone for an aging player like LeBron and he needs stars that are available every night which is not ad. It's sad since ad when healthy is a dominant player, but his availability is killing the Lakers. If they can somehow flip him for another star, then they have something going, but until then, they don't have much.

It's wayyyyyyyy to late. It makes no sense now. And I feel bad for LeBron to actually waste 3 years in a row. This organization is so behind the times it's sickening. I said earlier this year that if they didn't trade Westbrook I was gone as a fan and i have been. And they mention on this show all the time that the Lakers have been way to relaxed on players that they had Bird rights on. There has been zero thought since the championship and it's extremely sad.
This team is going into a deeper hole. They are not even going to make the play in tournament. Time to fire Pelinka. If the front office doesn't do something to save this team then it is time for Pelinka to be fired and kicked to the curb. This is on him. The future looks horrible for the this team. The 2027 and 2029 picks are crap. Their leverage is worth nothing for the Lakers.

At this point in the season considering their win/loss record and with AD sidelined, any type of trade to bolster the roster is not going to make them a playoff contender. Lebron can't do it by himself so I see this year as a washout. Current and future assets need to be preserved for the good of the team.

Lakers need to give Austin Reeves more touches/shot attempts plays run during the game. Im struggling to grasp how inefficient the lakers look without him on the floor, and yet they go entire quarters without running a play or getting him shots. Seems like this team is quite happy being mediocre and concerned about there own stats. Multiple games have watched and noticed the team seem to be ignoring Austin and would rather take bad shots to loose then let him even attempt a shot.

The Lakers can wait until the deadline. However, they are waiting the ladder years of LeBron’s career. The front office rejected Derozan’s deal which made Westbrook an option. Montrez instead of Woods maybe LeBron’s fault. Who passed on drafting Bane? Who wanted to wait for Kawhi Leonard stead of signing Bogdanovic and Brogdan. This is foolish to blame LBJ.

Hi Trevor, the Lakers is the quentissential win now team. LBJ is in year 20 producing all star numbers. AD is in his prime, albeit being injury plagued. Even if the 2027 pick materialized a future all star, it still takes average 3 to 4 years for that player to mature, so we are talking about being maybe competitive in 2030. If the front office really think that is the way to go then they need their head examined. The kings after being competitive in the early 2000s, are finally somewhat competitive now. I don't think our front office is that much better. The kings got good players like heild, bagley, Barnes, Haliburton and were never competitive. If the lakers front office is saying this to get leverage, I would say that is a pretty weak move and no one would that seriously.
We need a solid rotation of consistency, not alot of different line-up changes of different combinations ,yikes.
There missing a veteran wing who can play defense and hit big shots when LeBron is double team. Big mistakes of letting Carmelo Anthony go.
Keeping those ‘27/‘29 FRP’s is absolute. If the Lakers don’t keep winning, Russ may get traded by the deadline to GSW or even to the Sixers who may want to part ways with Harden. If you were the Lakes who would you accept in a trade for Russ? Time for the Lakers to score future picks.
