Something that I legitimately cannot explain: the Bucks shoot a lot better when Giannis is off the floor. Among players who have played at least 175 minutes with him (below), every single one has shot better when he’s on the bench. [Nathan Marzion]

Most likely they would have the ball in their hands more and have more opportunities to shoot without having to get the ball to the better player, I feel like they aren’t ready when Giannis passes them the ball
Maybe the offense becomes stagnant when he’s on the floor. So much watching and not enough of running the offense.
Also, when Giannis is on the court, the other teams’ best players are normally on the court as well.
What about the number of attempts for the on/off splits?
Damn, what happened to Bobby’s shot?
Less shots= smaller sample size.
I’ve actually been thinking about this for a few weeks. I’m sure there’s a ton of factors. But I wonder if one of those factors is that Giannis’ passes are just tougher to shoot from. The way he throws it might create weird spin? Maybe he throws the ball harder/faster throwing off the shooter’s rhythm? He’s not exactly the most accurate passer either, so off center catches are definitely a factor there.
I new man Giannis does kick out a lot to open shooters
Was the absolute opposite last season, pretty much everyone shot better off passes from Giannis.
I think it is clear Giannis isn’t as effective this season, for whatever reason. Too stagnant on offense
We need to open an investigation into what happened to Bobby’s 3 point shooting
I explain this by two things. When Giannis is on the floor the other teams best defenders are playing as well. Perhaps even more importantly, when Giannis on the floor everyone else stands and watches. They need to learn to move without the ball and stay active even when they aren’t actively in the play
