I love Trae! We drafted him for a reason, he's very talented. But you're right, he's not a great fit for us. I'd rather have Lavine to fit in better for the role we need filled, and you wouldn't have to give up Wood for him either in the trade package. That's a big win for us. So I'm going with L for sure. Hope Trae finds a good spot though. I really do

Trade rumors around the Mavs has been a lesson in futility. BUT, this team needs to get help for Luka as right now he is all but being squandered. Getting Trae Young would be incredible. Hard to believe they could and would be willing to pull off anything significant. Basically anyone beyond Luka himself should be on the table.

I wouldn't break up this CWood/Luka duo….they are getting really good chemistry-wise and Wood is growing exponentially in his defensive game. I wanna see what they can put together in a playoff run. Maybe with the style Luka plays and the generational talent that he is… doesn't necessarily need a "number two" all-star type. Just several strategic pieces to fill in the soft spots. I'm really excited to see how this plays out

Why on earth would the Mavs trade for trae young? He is even a worse fit next to Luka than Jalen Brunson, amoung all nba players there is really not many that fit less next to luka, how does this make any sense, especially considering the suggested trade, why would you give up draft picks to make your team significantly worse? Lavine is more interesting, but only for the right type of package, which will most likely not be what the Bulls are expecting. If we can get Lavine for any combination of Bertans, Bullock,THJ, Mcgee and some draft picks, it would be worth considering, but if that trade includes anybody else i dont think it would make the team better.
Lavine > Young. Then we could have Luka, Lavine and Wood on the floor. That would be a great addition to the Luka/Wood dynamic right now. I don't want to get rid of Wood I really like him.
