Sorry Victor no words will save you from shopping for a condo in Detroit next year

Tanking teams: “Shit, will he be disappointed in us?! Will he not want to come here? So we shouldn’t, right? But then how we do we get him! FUCK, WHAT DO WE DO?!?”

i think the thing people don’t understand is that you will never get a player in 2022 to intentionally lose a game, ESPECIALLY the type of player who would be playing 24 minutes a game for the charlotte hornets

you think mason plumlee wants to tank for wembanyama? no that’s his starting spot and possibly his job there. he’d be intentionally losing games in order to appease the long-term promise of a future he’d have nothing to do with. players on tanking teams know that if they don’t play hard their names will literally be a part of meme history. at that point you’re not playing for ā€œthe future of your teamā€ you’re playing to the future of your career as a player in the NBA

  4. UjiriWatcher

We aren’t tanking we’re just shit

  5. ClaymoresRevenge

He’s letting teams know, you better be prepared to win when he comes to town

  6. Accomplished-Copy332

Ok Wemby. Lead the Pistons to the playoffs in your first year.

  7. Both_Funny4896

I might sound insane , but I low key want the Warriors to somehow get their hands on him cuz I trust their development staff the most

  8. hog_porker

Bro just does not want to end up with some poverty franchise. I bet in his mind he’s hoping Lakers end up at the bottom so he ends up with the Pels and Zion/Ingram.

  9. vsouto02

Vic just doesn’t want to play for a bad team or franchise.

Imagine tho. Being a dude with Jalen Durens potential and it just getting crushed because a generational talent walks through the door. Same goes for Chet and Sengun

Are any teams like blatantly ‘tanking’ right now? Like Detroit has no Cade for the rest of the year, but Houston, Orlando, and them weren’t about to flip the switch and suddenly be good anyhow. Charlotte has had major injuries. San Antonio tore down, I guess maybe they could’ve kept Murray but that would have generally been pointless, right?

What I’m saying is discussion of tanking and the moaning about it from the media far outweighs the amount of blatant tanking occurring in the league right now.

Wemby gets selected number 1 by the Pistons on draft night. As he walks up to shake Silver’s hand he fools him, reaches over him with that insane wingspan and grabs and hits him across the head with a steel chair. He then does a Randy Orton arms extended pose. Hiding under his duvet sized suit jacket he pulls out the Money In The Bank briefcase. He cashes it in and declares “Fuck tanking I’m taking my talents to the Golden State Warriors”. Boos ring out and tensions are high. Ron Artest emerges from under the platform in Hornswoggle like fashion and instigates Malice In the Place part 2.

Technically the Pelicans aren’t tanking for him

  14. Cheap_shot_Wax

Hornets roster and coaching staff is 100% not actively tanking. Idk about our front office but our group is putting in work. Let them cook.

  15. AestheticPenguinMan

Got a surprise for the team you’re going to

  16. Imthegoat175

Ishbia brothers did the league a solid by resetting the going rate for NBA teams therefore the league should return the favor and gift them Wemby imo.

  17. Difficult_Collar4336

End the draft. Let players enter the nba via free agency !

  18. Aaaaaaandyy

Gonna have some awkward conversations with his future teammates

  19. Superddone20222

my rule change to fix tanking: the team with the WORST record can NOT get the number one pick. that team automatically gets the 4th pick. everyone else goes into the lottery same as before.

  20. 0dias_Chrysalis

Man acting like he ain’t about to be a Pelican/Rocket

  21. Apprehensive-Ad-1370

Call SGA see how he feels about it

  22. Mdgt_Pope

Utah got word of this ahead of time and played a competitive tank

  23. Calm-Cry4253

In b4 he starts preferring Pelicans or Thunder this offseason

  24. SpiderGhost01

Most of us think it’s weird too, and we resent the fact that crap franchises are routinely rewarded for being bad.

  25. Man already can’t wait to leave his first team

  26. theiwc0303

Tanking isn’t really a thing anymore with the new lottery odds. I think the term ā€œtankingā€ has gotten confused with ā€œrebuildingā€, unless they’re incredibly lucky every franchise has to suck at some point to be good later

  27. riki-woah

Well you’re gonna be on one of those unreasonable teams Wemby
