So many serious comments below – Colin is having fun and just bored at home at Christmas ( as I am which is why I played this clip). Besides there is nothing that Mavs could actually offer the Lakers that would make it worth considering . As I noted on another Colin post , Buss needs even a declining Lebron on the Lakers as without him the Lakers are the supplanted as the story in the LA market . Even if the Clippers currently are the better team so long as the Lakers have Lebron it will be the main story . Of course if the Clippers actually won the West then things may change even if Lebron is present . Although it is merely speculation on my part, perhaps the Buss family will decide to sell. Jeannie is 61, no children , and really the Lakers are the only true asset so why not cash in and enjoy the rest of life ( after all floor seats can be part of the deal ) . She does have the legacy of the team having won a title during her tenure and it is not as if she can bona fide see winning one in the next few years . She could add to her family legacy by finding a good ownership group with the resources to restore the stature of the franchise . The bonus is that she will not have to deal with Kyrie because deep down everyone knows the second he sucks someone into giving him a new contract he will be back to his antics.

Dallas makes no sense. Lebron can't shoot – certainly not as a spot up / off the ball / hang out behind the 3pt line piece. he doesn't play defense like Luka…and would want to control the flow thus eventually would wear Luka out.
Lebron has a history of this for sure BUT this is not what he’s doing. This is much more simple, it’s a PR move for his brand. Make it seem like his top priority is winning when it clearly wasn’t.
