Anonymous Eastern Conference Exec to Sean Deveney of Heavy.com on Obi Toppin:
“There has been some talk between the Pacers and Knicks about Obi. He fits in Indiana, especially if they keep (Myles) Turner. Obi is a rim-runner, he has some toughness, he has athleticism. He needs minutes and a team that is rebuilding with young talent like Indy is a really good match.”

Sam Quinn of CBS Sports on the latest Tobias Harris trade rumors:
“The problem for the Knicks is that Harris plays a position in which they are already set. Harris is a shoot-first combo forward. The Knicks have Julius Randle and RJ Barrett. Harris would likely have to come off the bench to play with them unless one of them was in the deal. That seems unlikely, as the Knicks hesitated to offer Barrett in packages for Donovan Mitchell, and Randle’s contract is longer and more onerous than Harris’. The Knicks could offer Evan Fournier and Derrick Rose as matching salary, but neither really fits in with a 76ers team that would probably prefer a forward like Harris in that salary slot with James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, De’Anthony Melton, Shake Milton and Matisse Thybulle already at guard. If those contracts were expiring Philadelphia might consider such a move, but they’d be paying Fournier next year as well, so the financial value of a swap is fairly limited as well.”

    No Grimes would go back to the bench RJ to the 2, Harris 3. It actually balance our roster. Our starters you'll have 4 guys who can get their own shot and Harris would check the better wing player. Grimes would improve our bench which needs more offense and trio of IQ, Deuce, Grimes would hold leads. RJ goes to the bench ealry anyways so Grimes would still play with the starters some. Harris becomes expiring contract after next year so the risk isn't as high

    Obi will fit perfectly in Indiana and he will be a star for them. No use in keeping potential NBA starters in your bench. In the long run the player gets really unhappy and wants to be moved. Like Cam Reddish. Why does Philly want to trade Harris??? Solid player. If I'm trading Obi I want a first rounder back and maybe Duarte.
