I agree that trading Trae is very unlikely. However, that doesn't mean it would be a bad idea. I don't think a team has ever won a chip with a ball dominate PG. AI did make it to the Finals and lost. And Luka could. But Luka is much more than a fragile 6 ft PG. IOW, I'd be extremely surprised if Trae were to change his game whoever the HC may be. Trae is a stat stuffer. Trae's dream has always been to be a star in the NBA. He's done that. That is how he has earned his max salary. Winning a chip is much more difficult to do and at best would only return a negligible amount of extra money for Trae. Therefore, I just don't see Trae changing his game for that.
Although this team has the talent for a top 4 seed, it is still missing key pieces to contend for a title. And this is on Schlenk who brought in nice pieces, but they don't fit well. I've spoken to Schlenk. His dream was to build a team full of athletic 6'9" players and play position-less basketball. That may look good on paper, but if a team like that were to win, it cannot include Jalen Johnson, OO, and JC in the rotation. These are at best role players. Speaking of which, how Capella fits in. No doubt, Capella was a steal. But he overlapped JC's role. They are essentially the same player, with CC a bit heavier, which results in better rebounding. But JC is better athletically, better shooter, and better defender. Yet, Hawks have been trying to deal JC ever since. Instead, they should have been trying to deal CC and replace him with a long rim protector and let JC be the roller again. The Hawks are one of the shortest teams in the NBA. They cannot compete with the likes of Bucks, Cavs, and eventually Orlando (they're not contenders this year, but wait til next year).
Trae needs someone like chris Paul in his corner. & you’re right.. JC doesn’t get the ball enough.. but a great coach that the team respect will help too.
Iso-Trae is the worst. I do not like spoiled brat athletes. DJ is the adult in the room. Either you want to bring us a chip or leave town. And I agree he is selfish. We need a coach in the worst way.

Look, imma say this about trae, I’ve loved him since the draft and I think he’s better than luka BUT not even for one game Black Momba Kobe the Goat Never felt like I don’t give a fuck. Jordan too but I’m a Kobe fan. I’m bummed to see trae lacks heart after me cashed our check. We can’t fire a coach every season and a half because trae is having a temper tantrum
Did you watch Trae play in high school? A good management build around their top draft picks. Trae is a good leader. Let Trae be Trae. All Allstar/Superstar player play selfish. From my perspective other team run plays for their Allstar. When Trae shooting early it to get more shots up in the quarters.
