    Inconsistent pg. (FRED)

No backup pg. (FLYNN ain’t it)

    Bench isn’t scoring ( Boucher/ Thad)

    No center for multiple years.

    Clear problems.

  2. ScottieB4Enthusiast

It all went downhill when these dumbasses decided to rebrand everything

  3. Ssstanimal

Need to trade Fred for more reliable bench pieces and picks.

  4. Everyone shares a bit of the blame I think.

The players for inconsistency and effort issues, the coaching staff for giving high workloads to players whose bodies can’t handle it, and the front office for poor team construction with no depth and the fact it’s been 3 years now with no starting caliber center on the team.

But honestly the first two issues can be traced back to the lack of depth caused by poor team building. Sometimes it feels like the FO has done the bare minimum, especially this offseason where the biggest move was signing a notoriously injury prone player that doesn’t really solve any of the team’s main problems.

We are missing our key piece, Goran Dragic.

We lost a lot after the championship. Kyle and Fred could either have an off night and the other would pick up the slack. Gasol was a true center(albeit past his prime) but he could facilitate alot of the passing and ball movement as well as guard the rim. Of course the obvious loss of Kawhi hurts the most since he played so well under pressure and when the game was on the line he was your fucking guy to get it done. I know that was years ago but sometimes I feel like having that great of a year and stellar roster can make fans a bit toxic since we know what has been done and it’s definitely not happening again anytime soon. Siakam is unbelievable this season and imo one of the top 20 if not 10 players in the league right now but he needs more consistent help. Just my thoughts and I love the raps don’t get me wrong but it’s gonna be a long road ahead. I’m still gonna cheer for them but it’s hard to watch sometimes.

  7. FactorNo7477

    Lack of outside shooting

    The need for another center

    The questionable bench PG situation

    Poor roster construction

    Fred Vanvleet’s inefficiency

  8. TheseBitchesLoveSoba

    Shit jerseys

    Shit point guards

    No Center

    No POA defenders

    No effort in defence

    No direction

    No help from front office

    We are cooked.

  9. motherseffinjones

It’s roster construction, our guards are ass and we don’t have a real center Koloko shows flashes but he needs to develop. Oh and we have 0 bench scoring

I’m putting the brunt of the blame on the front office here.

They tried to make a long-boi team of interchangeable 3’s/4’s that would switch everything and be a defensive issue. Instead we just made it so we had no guard depth, no 3 point shooting, no big depth, and a half court offence so bad that it directly hurts our defence.

The Raptors are an organization that was known for great drafting, player development, and trades. Lately the only good draft pick was Barnes, our player development for our picks has slowed down, and the Raptors haven’t really been making any winning trades (or trades that address positions of needs).

The Raptors have way too much talent on its roster to be as bad as they are this year.

  11. Honestly it’s very easy to place blame on everyone but the fact of the matter is the ceiling with this roster is quite low.

Pascal and Fred are simply not first option superstar players who are going to make your franchise contenders. We saw it in the championship season. They are both excellent 2nd and 3rd options, respectively. The Fred slander especially has been pretty crazy tbh. This is an undrafted/undersized/aging/overplayed player, the expectations of him are ridiculous. Same thing happened to Lowry until kawhi took the pressure/expectations off his shoulders. Overall we have been underperforming due to injuries but this isn’t a second round team in the playoffs on paper or irl.

At this stage you look to develop scottie, and the trade the other guys for good value when the right opportunity presents itself. No one should be untouchable including OG or pascal. Ideally you’d want to trade Fred but the window for that has probably closed unless he finds it real soon.

  12. the-complete-fool

-sneaky ego from coach and big micro manager
-FVV is literally the 30th best starting PG
    – FVV got a sex tape on NN
    – FVV and NN haven been in a secret relationship for years

Intentional tanking is fine if this is indeed intentional

Toronto market always will have to build assets through drafting primarily and if the team and front office understands this situation and they do they can stick to this plan

  14. * Terrible offensive schemes. Every guy has to create for themselves with no offball movement.
    * Fred plays like Kyrie but without the shooting or finishing, just the lack of passing. He doesn’t care about feeding other guys and getting them involved.
    * They’re relying on a 2nd year player to be the 2nd best player on the floor. Which is not fair to Barnes
    * Nurse’s rotations and giving the bench confidence to go out and play is abysmal.
    * Flynn and the FO keeping Flynn for this long.
    * Only one guy on the entire team has a competent jumpshot. One! And they’re talking of trading him!?
    * They’re using Thad, Chris, and sometimes even Khem to space the floor in the corners, which is not where they exceed.
    * They get outrebounded every game. Yes they don’t have a 7 footer but their fake spacing also puts their huge ass forwards on the 3 pt line so they aren’t in the paint for rebounds.
    * Their defense is easy to counter because of how hyper aggressive it is. David Thorpe talks about how it’s easy to counter in a podcast ep.
    * There’s some kind of locker room shit going on that makes all of these already bad problems, WORSE.

Ever since the championship, it felt like there was a sense of complacency and denial from the front office. The organization lost that underdog edge to them and it percolated through to the players.

We lost some keys players for nothing all because the front office was in denial about the cycle of competitiveness in the NBA…after losing our best player in Kawhi and having aging starters, the better play would have been to trade the aging players for some assets for the long term.

Maybe it’s human nature at play; for years Masai and co have been touted as one of the best executive teams in the league if not the best. When you’re at the top for this long, it can make you complacent as an organization.

We gotta trade Fred for guard depth off the bench and trade filler+1st for Myles turner and this team could be something to watch. Not saying they’d win a title cuz that’s insane but a dangerous 1st/2nd round team in the east
