If the championship was for turnovers, the Warriors would be champions. Poole is bad this season, they commit turnovers at the most critical time of the game.
Lost twice to the worst team in the NBA. I don't know what the Warriors' strategy is for this season. Is the goal to make the top 4 in the conference, get a direct playoff berth by finishing fifth or sixth, or play for the play-in? What will Steve Kerr's goal be?
The early max extension for Poole is looking like a bad contract decision. I am not basing that off this one game but his entire season and advised against them doing it when it happened to. I hope I am proven wrong but….
He should not be the primary ball handler against set defenses. He needs the defense out of position to be effective. PG is not a natural position for him. Get him off the ball. Simplify the game for him.
There needs to be a way to appeal bad ref calls. Some are so egregious that it seems illegal. I've been saying for months that JP needs to either find better shoes or slow down when he starts to move – he's blown so many clutch time periods by moving too fast and falling down. Maybe this is when he learns…
Jordan Poole very erratic ball handler. it happened many times in many games during clutch time. Don't understand why Kerr keeps letting JP handle the ball. Many better options, Ty, Lamb, or Donte.
The massive extension contract for Jordan Poole was i think a compensation of that punched. 90mil would had been appropriate amount. the 40 mil should have been shared to Gary payton and Otto Porter plus 10 mil extra for Wiggins.
JP again😤😤😤
Poole need to Detroit later for these fans
We all love JP, there's no denying that. But for the love of God Jordan, could you please enroll in dribbling and ball handling school. In every game, you fall, slip, trip, dribble off your foot/leg or have the ball stripped from you whenever you dribble the ball at shoulder height length. This happens in regular time and even more often in clutch time. Even the commentators said during the game you'll turnover the ball once you get pressured and sure enough, it happened.
Yes, we get it, you want to come through for the team in cutch time, but you're hurting the team when everyone is opened and you go iso in clutch time when you don't have the dribbling or ball handling skills yet and end up losing the ball. We all know you're an awesome shooter and playing to be like Steph, but you're rushing to be at his level too fast and just not there yet. Steph took many years to be where he's at today. Patience and share the ball until then.
You'll be making $28 mln a year next season, enough to hire a coach to help you with your dribbling and ball handling skills or join the one that Steph used for his dribbling skills. And buy yourself some good quality shoes so you don't slip/fall in every game. Or Steph, could you PLEASE give Jordan a pair of Under Armour shoes, so he'll stop slipping, tripping and falling all over the court, especially when he wants to drive from mid-court with 5 seconds left on the shot clock.
Think about it, would Nike (the brand JP wearing now) or any other shoe company will offer any player a shoe deal if they're known to fall /slip in almost every game? Who wants to be known as the company that makes shoes for a player that keeps falling/slipping while wearing their brand? In fact, these companies might be concerned that their stock value might go down.lol
Bottom line, Jordan, as a guard, has less desirable dribbling/ball handling and foot/leg coordination and he's got to work on these areas if he ever wants to reach the next level. With $28 mln/yr, hire 5-10 coaches if you have to and invest in shoes with better traction.
Give donte the ball to handle
Jordan Poole is the future face of the franchise … He should learn from his mistakes given his skill level. The other night it was a missed wide open pass he missed to Klay tonight he tried to dribble and play HERO BALL again. These are all important experiences and should help players get better …. hopefully that happens in Poole's case.
Poole with the ball in his hands that late is not working..he can shoot and it's better to have him and Klay spreading floor for Ty or Donte .also his effort on pnr defense is bad. btw Kerith is a pretty woman
Proud of Klay and the rest. Poole is good, but now my point from my previuos comments holds true, he is trying very hard to be clutch but he does not have the ice in his veins to pull it through. Many times he bungles opportunities during end of games, errors even with little dribbles he tends to loose it. Klay will be Klay, clutch! Kudos to Kerr for the last set play for Klay! Although on the last play, i was wondering why he put a small guy for defense while he have long bodies which are doing great to cover, 1 second shots are either long shoots from outside to mid range or lob passes inside, the one the small guy is guarding ends puttingbup the shot from his hips, which is difficult if a long armed, tall guy is in front of him. Great effort and GS should have won that, failure is on the unforced turn over from JP…..again, this time his teammates can jot bail him put!!! Hope Coach Kerr will start to address this.
JP has got to stop wanting to be that guy cuz in the end he is going to cost us a crucial game when we gave the ball to him I said here we go again I'm tired of seeing this every game
Do y'all see the reaction of Steph every time he does this it's like how many times do we have to keep telling you the same damn thing
JP will learn. You can't win em all. It's part of the arc of the season. JP just needs to slow down and get his body under control. Hats off to Detroit, they had a good night. Excellent game in any case. Losses can be productive. Amazing homestand so far. So gritty. Just love it. All is good.
