KI playing like top 10 is a complement, but not for KD cause he's playing like top 2-3 players in the league. and unlike Luka, KD is one of the toughest defenders for perimeter players cause of his intelligence and oh yeah, that 7'6 wingspan and feet that move like a guard
the main obstacle for KD is being around too much talent, even among role players.. man Watanabe is leading the NBA in 3pt%, meanwhile his 2 teammates Joe and Seth are probably both top 5 (def top 10) pure shooters in terms of accuracy even with high volume.. so good that defenders never leave them so most of their 3's are of full speed running catch and shoot where they have to pivot, turn and square up to basket in fraction of second for the jumpshot and they STILL shoot with highest %
whenever KI and KD have the lowest 3pt% among the high volume 3 shooters on ANY TEAM, that's a pretty good sign
Its great and I'm rooting for kd to win another chip to get rid of that supposed asterisk on his career but i feel their lack of front court depth might haunt them in the playoffs

Bens tenacity on the defensive end is catapulting this team. He’s just a disruptive ball hawk. And he makes guys like Seth and Joe and Yuta better and better he gets them open looks hits them in their shooting pocket. He’s not gonna get the respect he deserves but he’s a huge part of their success.
