They’ve had star-level players in the last 20 years, the extent to which injuries hampered their team could have been mitigated with good management, and actually point #4 is not really that accurate if the goal is to be not-terrible for two-plus decades. It takes real effort to have the worst record in the league over an extended period of time.
It’s been a team effort – ownership, FO, coaching and players (who either weren’t good enough or didn’t buy into their roles).
For some of us who aren’t ready to blow things up, its because this has been a relatively stable period and the team has decent young vets, youth that is improving and a ton of draft picks. It’s really the best shape the team has been in for a long time.
