It wasn’t pretty but we won. Yeah, the team isn’t playing well but that may not mean a whole lot in a month. Or come playoff time. Only thing that will be then is who won.

Now, if we play like this the rest of the year then we aren’t that good. But I’m not going to worry about that right now.

  2. AreolianMode

I’ve never been so mad after a win but ROBERT FUCKING WILLIAMS

  3. Bless Rob Williams. His defensive presence is a game changer.

  4. Plastic_Database_645

If Sochan hit that 3pt shot, this thread prolly gonna be crazy.

    Otherwise, great game C’s!

  5. BabySignificant

My body started this game in 2023 and finished it in 2034

  6. DieYuppieScum91

I don’t know what has to happen for this team to stop thinking that games against bad teams are just glorified shoot arounds. You’d think getting dominated by OKC would have done it.

  7. queerwater

Before anything else, give some respect to RWIII

  8. Plastic_Database_645

Timelord said enough is enough. Good ass shit defense right there

  9. DoomdUser

Rob saved our asses at the end with that defensive masterpiece on Romeo.

This one was way too close but a W is a W

  10. TacoooJay

Josh Richardson is exactly what we need off the bench rn. Hopefully they decide to trade him near the deadline and Brad makes a move

  11. queerwater

Timelord with the double-double, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks in 21 minutes

  12. BobSacamanosRatHat

That was a good game. Really miss Josh Richardson and it’s nice to see Romeo doing well.
Wasn’t pretty but whatever, we’re 40 games into the season and there’s still a lot of unrealized potential!

  13. SanSoren

Tatum with another game winner and raised his NBA all time leading shot % on final shots to tie or take the lead baby

  14. nivagrellawrov

i pray marcus is alright, brogdon looked phenomenal tonight though, looks like his shot is back on.

  15. zgamer200

The C’s let it get way too close to end this one, and I thought there was way too much one-on-one offense in the last few minutes even without Smart, but the Celtics got the win in the end and that’s what matters

-Shoutout to Big Al for securing the game with the offensive rebound off of Tatum’s miss on the 2nd FTA. Didn’t think it was his best game, but he still had 10 boards including the game sealing one

-Rob with 10/11/3, 4 blocks and 2 steals. He is not talked about enough as a potential 5×5 candidate

-White with 11 assist and Brogdon with 22 points and 7 assists. They really stepped up tonight with Smart having to leave the game

-Tatum with an efficient 34 points. Was good to see him follow up the triple double with another good game and not just try take the night off against a team without a top MVP candidate to compete against

  16. TatumisMyMVP

Smart (when he is healthy again) JT JB Al and timelord needs to be the starting lineup

  17. Organic_Climate_7585

If Brogdon had been on the floor during those last few minutes the lead never would have dwindled. We needed him to stay out there with Marcus out. I don’t understand why they can’t make slight deviations from his normal minutes when we clearly need him. At least they still left Rob out there.

  18. BostonKarlMarx

glad brogdon showed up in a big way today

  19. TheFirstExecutioner

Perk called it on the broadcast but Malcolm needs to be in the closing lineup. We got him specifically for this purpose to prevent the offense from stagnating late in games and tonight, the offense literally died the second he went to the bench and we let the Spurs back in the game

  20. Some of y’all give the Spurs no credit lmao. They are basically the 26 wins Celtics during Brad’s first year. Not a whole lotta talent but they play hard and play well, always tough to win against these teams in the regular season

  21. JCosta04

    Never in doubt.

At least Malcolm is looking like himself again. They still need more from Grant and Hauser or another bench player.

Maybe a crazy question – but if Joe really doesn’t want to use the double bigs lineup to start, is it time for Al to move to the bench and let Rob start? It just seems like they’re not really working him in on offense and he doesn’t have the same defensive juice as Rob. Not a knock on him, but just wondering

  22. Eisenhorn76

Keeping my fingers crossed that Smart is okay and is just game to game.

  23. stargazing1111

Brogdon and Rob won this for us, also Derrick with another huge block down the stretch, I’ll take it

  24. thereal_kphed

Should they be struggling to beat the spurs? No probably not. But man, every team in the damn league has legit NBA players. Even bottom feeders are filled with talent. Wasn’t like this even ten years ago.

  25. sterlingminuteman

The cellar-dwelling teams are certainly bringing their A game against the Celtics lately. They all seem to have the attitude of “we may lose the other games, but let’s win this one, for a season highlight“

  26. tonylouis1337

My big takeaway – Rob is really good

  27. Organic_Climate_7585

We have to stop giving these bad teams so much confidence. Shout out to the Buffalo for that amazing lob to Rob at the end of the shot clock with the game on the line. That was ballsy!
